Barys Kit – an outstanding Belorusian mathematician, physicist, chemist, philosopher

Barys Kit was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, on April 1910

His family soon moved to the village of Aharodniki ( now the town karelichy, grodna region) which was his father’s home town

Dr. Kit worked as a teacher in the village of Lebedzeva near Maladzechna, then as the plincipal at the Pastavy Teachers College

In the mid-1950s Barys Kit began his scientific activities in the field of astronautics

He worked for the US space research program for 25 years. He took part in projects aimed at the development of inter-continental rocket systems.

He also worked on several space projects, which were used in the Apollo mission to the moon and Shuttle spaceship project

The first human –made object to reach the surface of the moon

Since 1958 Dr. Kit worked at the US Astronautics Bureau as a state adviser and expert in international astronautics

The name of Barys Kit was added to the list of important American scientists in a time capsule buried in the wall of the Capitol

Vasil Bykaw called Dr. Kit Belorusian Number One in the world

Dr. Kit - a celebrated scientist, educator and a great patriot of his Fatherland
