«Достопримечательности Лондона»

(5-6 классы)

Викторина предназначена для обучающихся 5-6 классов общеобразовательных школ с целью закрепления и повторения учебного материала по теме "Лондон".Материал викторины будет способствовать развитию интереса к изучаемому языку, к культуре Великобритании, позволит применить полученные знания на практике с помощью анализа, сопоставления.

“THE SIGHTSEEING’S OF LONDON”

Цель:  обобщить и расширить представление учащихся о величайших  достопримечательностях  Лондона средствами  английского языка.

Задачи:

  • Образовательная: Развивающая: развивать умение применения полученных ЗУН в конкретной обстановке, развить навыки устной речи, развить творческую активность детей.

  • Воспитательная: способствовать расширению знаний учащихся о Лондоне

  • расширения объема и углубления лингвострановедческих и страноведческих знаний о стране изучаемого языка, их науке и культуре, исторических и современных реалиях, общественных деятелях, месте этой страны в мировом сообществе, мировой культуре;

  • развития умений участвовать в беседе, запрашивать и обмениваться информацией;

  • совершенствования ранее сформированных слухо-произносительных и ритмико - интонационных навыков;

  • дальнейшего развития слушания и понимания (с различной степенью полноты и точности) высказываний собеседника.

Тип урока: итоговый по теме “Достопримечательности Лондона”

Форма урока: урок-викторина

Оборудование: магнитофон, компьютер, презентация по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона»

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

- Good morning, children! Glad to see you again.

Today we are going to speak about the sightseeing’s of London. Of course, you know that London is a capital of Great Britain. First of all, pay attention to the screen and I think you recognize these pictures.

/- Yes, there are famous sightseeing’s of London. /

A) -Do you know the words, which are written on the blackboard?

- Yes, it is the names of London’s sightseeing’s. /

- Let’s listen and then read them.

I asked you to split in 2 teams. Now I see that you are ready. Our teachers will be our jury and score your points. Try to get as many points as you can. The team with the highest score will be the winner. I ask you to respect each other and work in turn. Let’s begin with the greeting

The first round

Teacher: Our first round is called “ Warming up”.(слайд 4)

I will ask you questions and you will answer them in turn. The first question will be for “Clever boys”, the second – for «Clever girls», the third – again for “Clever boys.” and so on. But if the team doesn`t know the answer – the other team may help and get the point:

10.In what American state is Hollywood situated? ( state California)

11. Who lived in Sherwood Forest? (Robin Hood)

12. What are the main colours of the English flag? (blue, red, white)

13. The English woman-writer known as “the Queen of detective stories” (Agatha Christie)

14. The Head of State in the UK (the Monarch)


The second round

Teacher: The second round is “Proverbs”. It is important to know words of wisdom. Your task is to match the English proverbs with the Russian ones. Учитель раздаёт командам карточки с пословицами. (слайд 5) Команды работают.
