Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку.

Данная работа содержит как страноведческий материал, так и материал по краеведческой тематике. Адресована преподавателям английского языка образовательных учреждений.

Сценарий внеклассного мероприятия «ENGLISH QUEST»

Цель: проверка, систематизация и совершенствование знаний, умений и навыков, приобретенных на уроках английского языка

Задачи:

Образовательная:

- проверка уровня усвоения материала по изученным темам, а также уровня сформированности лексико-грамматических и фонетических навыков и умений обучающихся по изученным темам; расширение и углубление знаний, умений и навыков в овладении иноязычной коммуникативной деятельностью;

-расширение кругозора обучающих.

Развивающая:

- развитие познавательного интереса обучающихся;

- развитие творческой фантазии и инициативы в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности;

- развитие логического мышления, внимания, воображения;

- развитие умения работать в команде.

Воспитательная:

- воспитание любви и уважения к людям своего родного края и страны, язык которой изучается

- воспитание духа соперничества, cтремления к победе

Оборудование: компьютер, печатные материалы с заданиями, картинка для описания и фотографии с достопримечательностями и символами англоязычных стран, маршрутные листы

Форма мероприятия – игра-соревнование по станциям

Ход мероприятия:

В кабинете находятся участники соревнований: команды студентов из 5 человек всех групп первых курсов, преподаватели иностранных языков, а также студенты-помощники старших курсов.

STATION “READING”

Student–helper 1: Read the text “Tourism for children and youth” and decide if the statements are true or false. For each right sentence you will get one point. I give you 10 minutes.

STATION “LISTENING”

Student–helper 2: Listen to the dialogue 2 times and fill in the gaps with correct words. For each right answer you will get one point. I give you 10 minutes.

STATION “COUNTRY STUDIES”

Student–helper 3: I will ask the questions about English-speaking countries and you must answer my questions. The questions are Russian. For each right answer you will get points (from 1 to 3). I give you 10 minutes.

STATION “CROCODILE”

Teacher 1: You have to guess the words. One of you takes a card and show it with your body (hands, legs and so on) without words. The others must give their answers only English! The words belong to different topics: famous people, sights, holidays, sport, food, animals, transport, professions etc. For each right answer you will get one point. I give you 10 minutes.

Один из команды берёт карточку, на обратной стороне которой написано слово по-английски. С помощью невербальных средств общения объясняет слово. Команда называет слова по-английски, пытается отгадать слово. Отгадав слово, следующую карточку тянет другой участник команды и т.д.

Подведение итогов

Все участники игры собираются в кабинете. Сдают свои маршрутные листы учителям. Учителя подсчитывают баллы. В это время студенты пишут свои впечатления об игре. (см. Приложение 7). Затем преподаватели оглашают победителей, награждают, благодарят за игру.

TOURISM FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH

There are children's summer camps in the Arkhangelsk region that offer different programs for development and help not only to discover tal­ents of a child, but also to improve his/her health.

The eco-camp for children is located between the White and the Baltic Seas in a most picturesque place, which is called the Kenozero National Park. The camp is working from July till August. The children are offered different topics for research: meteorology, plant ecology, history of the village, cultural heritage of the Russian North. The kids are engaged in bark wicker, modeling of Kargopol toys, they attend interesting excursions, trainings and games. And, of course, a summer holiday can't do without swimming and fishing, without singing songs by the bonfire at night! A good rest in the eco-camp improves children's health and teaches them to love na­ture. The memories of such a summer remain in their hearts for all their lives.

Vodlozersky National Park arranges winter and summer eco- and educational camping and expeditions for schoolchildren. Participants of the camping acquire theoretical and practical skills of being in nature: they learn how to use a map and find their way, how to make fire in winter and cook fish. During expeditions over the Onega sector of the park children learn about the history and the culture of the area, they meet people living in re­mote villages and try to do routine rural jobs, they study natural objects, learn to "read" traces of birds and animals, help to make the territories nicer, better and more comfortable. The main value of the camping is that it gives teenag­ers a lot of impressions and deeper knowledge of the Northern nature.

In addition to children's camps there are many tourist routes and ex­cursions for children and youth. Regional museums arrange thematic les­sons for schoolchildren. These are mostly referred to studies of folk cul­ture, history and local nature. Visiting Konosha and Yarensk is among the children's favourite tours. Why are these villages so attractive for the young explorers? The matter is that in the very centre of Konosha there "live" different dinosaurs and characters from children's favourite car­toons. Young tourists are happy to participate in a tourist-excursion pro­gram "Jurassic Park" based on the project "Small Architectural Forms".

The village of Yarensk is a real Fairy Land. This is the place where Mother Winter was born. All the year round, her residence hospitably welcomes everybody who believes in Fairytale!
