Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку для 5 и 6 класса.

“Поездка в Великобританию”

Цель: повышение интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка и к стране изучаемого языка

Задачи:
1. Образовательные:
- расширить лингвистический кругозор и эрудицию учащихся;

- в занимательной форме выявить уровень знаний учащихся по теме «Великобритания» (основные географические данные- население, столицы, символы, культурные достопримечательности некоторых городов, флаги и др.), систематизировать знания по данной теме.

2. Развивающие:

- развитие устной речи учащихся;
- развивать языковую догадку, внимание и логическое мышление;

3. Воспитательные:
- воспитывать умение работать в команде;
- воспитывать чувство взаимопомощи и уважительного отношения к соперникам;

 Оборудование:
интерактивная доска, карточки для конкурсов, музыкальное сопровождение, оценочный лист, классная доска, мел.

Ход мероприятия

1. Организационный момент

Good afternoon boys and girls! I`m glad to see you at our unusual lesson. As you see today we`ve got a lot of guests at our lesson. Be more active today and don`t worry please and try to do your best. OK?

We are going to have a trip around the UK today. We`ll have a lot of fun, so the name of our unusual lesson is “A TRIP OF GREAT BRITAIN”.  

We`ll visit a lot of interesting places, look at the screen and do amounts of funny tasks, we revise the material of previous lessons and have a rest.

Today we shall have a competition between two teams. The first team is on the left, and the second team is on the right. Each team has its name, motto and captain. You should do the tasks correctly and for each correct answer I`ll give you a score. And at the end of the lesson we`ll know who`s the winner.

So, let`s start! Are you ready? OK! Ready, steady, go!

1. Приветствие команд. Презентация названия команды, девиза, эмблемы.

Your home task was to create the name, the motto and the emblem of your team. I will ask your leaders to introduce your team.

Team1: Who is captain in your team? Present us your team. (The name of our team is: Friends. Our motto is: We are the best. And this is our emblem.

Team2: Who is captain in your team? Present us your team. (The name of our team is: Winners. Our motto is: Use or lose. And this is our emblem.

3.Основной этап мероприятия

Task 1. Packing a suitcase.

Now we need to pack a suitcase for a trip. What things do you need to take with you? (passport, ticket, map, warm clothes, umbrella…) Your task is to write as many things as possible. The team that names the most items in 1 minute wins and gets 2 point. (Вешаем чемоданы на доску, дети вокруг пишут предметы)

Task 2. At the airport.

Now we have arrived at the airport. You have a ticket, but the trouble is, it's torn. Your task is to glue your ticket as soon as possible and not be late for your plane. The team that gets on the plane first wins and gets 1 point. (Детям раздаются билеты в виде пазла, их задача собрать его и найти свой рейс)

Task 3. On the plane

(Когда сели в самолет) Good afternoon passengers, ladies and gentlemen, welcome on a board Flight 4B7 with service from Moscow to London. Thank you for choosing British airways. Enjoy your flight. We are currently cruising at an altitude of 33, 000 feet at an airspeed of 400 miles per hour. The time of our flight lasts 4 hours. The weather in London is cloudy and rainy, with a high of 14 degrees for this afternoon. Relax and enjoy the rest of the flight.

Уважаемые пассажиры, экипаж самолета авиакомпании «British Airways» рад приветствовать Вас на борту нашего авиалайнера! Мы совершим полет до Лондона. Наш самолёт – на высоте …, скорость …Время полёта -4 часа. Температура за бортом + 14, облачно и дождливо… (фоном – мелодия) Желаем Вам приятного полета!

Look at the map. There you can see Great Britain. (презентация карта Великобритании) Kids, look at the map and tell me what 4 parts the UK consists of? (Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland)

All the parts have their capital: England – London. Wales – Cardiff, Scotland – Edinburgh, Northern Ireland – Belfast. (Работа с картой,)

Now you will see on the screen 4 parts of the UK and their capitals. Your task is to connect them faster than the opposing team. For this, the team gets 2 point. (Детям нужно соединить части Великобритании и их столицы)

Task 4. Welcome to London

Dear passengers, our plane landed at the airport in London. The commander of the ship and the crew say goodbye to you. We hope to see you again on board our aircraft. Thank you for choosing our airline. The ladder will be served to you now. Please stay in your seats until the full stop.

Уважаемые пассажиры, наш самолет совершил посадку в аэропорту города Лондона. Температура за бортом +14 градусов Цельсия, время 13:00 часов. Командир корабля и экипаж прощаются с вами. Надеемся еще раз увидеть вас на борту нашего самолета. Благодарим вас за выбор нашей авиакомпании. Сейчас вам будет подан трап. Пожалуйста оставайтесь на своих местах до полной остановки.

Congratulations kids, we have arrived in London. Now we will take a tour of the city and visit the most interesting places. Are you ready?

Your task is to connect the picture with the description of the place. For each correct answer, the team gets 2 point. (Игра 100 к 1: учащиеся по очереди подходят к кнопке, учитель зачитывает описание, тот ученик, который первым нажимает кнопку отвечает, если ответ правильный команда получает 1 балл)

1. It's a clock in the tower and it is a big bell. You can hear it every hour. (Big Ben)

2. It is a place where the British Government sits. It is the largest modem building. It consists of three parts: the Royal Apartments, the House of Lords and the House of Commons. (the House of Parliament)

3. It is the oldest and famous bridge across the Thames. Originally it was made of wood by the Romans, but it was often burnt down. Later it was made of stone. Finally, it was rebuilt and made of concrete. (The Tower Bridge)

4. It is the central square of London and traditional place for people to meet: all sorts of protest meetings are held there. The statue of national hero Admiral Nelson stands there. (Trafalgar Square)

5. It is the national museum of Britain. It has one of the world’s best collections of art (The British museum)

6. It is the largest park in London, which is famous for its Speaker’s Corner. (Hyde Park)

Task 5. The erudite contest (Конкурс эрудитов)

The name of the state The United Kingdom is written on the board.

The task of the teams is to pick up words related to the United Kingdom containing these letters as quickly as possible. The team is awarded 1 point for a word with minor errors and 2 points for a correctly spelled word, 0 points for an incorrect word or a word that does not relate to a given topic.

Задача команд как можно быстрее подобрать слова, связанные с Объединенным Королевством, содержащие данные буквы. Команде присуждается 1 балл за слово с незначительными ошибками и 2 балла за правильно написанное слово, 0 баллов за неправильное слово или слово, не относящееся к заданной теме.

Например:

T – thistle, h – Northern Ireland, e- rose

U- Edinburgh, n- Sally Lunn’s, i- daffodil, t- Bath, e- Loch Ness, d- daffodil

K- Buckingham Palace, i- Cardiff, n- London, g- bagpipes, d- Scotland, o- York, m- shamrock

4.Подведение итогов.

После выполнения всех заданий подводятся итоги с подсчетом набранных баллов, и определяется и награждается команда победитель.
