Wrestling is a  combat sport  involving  grappling  type techniques such as  clinch fighting ,  throws  and  takedowns ,  joint locks ,  pins  and other  grappling holds . The sport can either be theatrical for entertainment (see  professional wrestling ), or genuinely competitive. A wrestling bout is a physical competition, between two (occasionally more) competitors or sparring partners, who attempt to gain and maintain a  superior position .

Freestyle Wrestling

During free-style wrestling competitions, the opponents try to win one by one with different techniques. While doing tricks, it is forbidden to perform tricks against the movements of the joints. The duration of the umbrella is 6 minutes.

Japanese literary art, philosophy and sporting duel without a weapon, Japanese martial arts master Jigoro Kano (1860-1938), was created in 19th century by the Judo (Japanese, 柔道 , յու 道 ) literal, "fine path" at the end of the century. The latter has also formulated rules and principles for training and competitions.

Sambo

Sambo (Russian: sambo - self defense without arms), sports gymnastics fight, the most effective tactics of national wrestling wrestling (including Armenian wrestling). Formed in the USSR in the 1930s.

Sambo is a martial art that originated in the  Soviet Union  (specifically  Russia ) in the 20th century. It is an acronym for "self-defence without weapons" in  Russian  and had its origins in the Soviet armed forces. Its influences are varied, with techniques borrowed from sports ranging from the two international wrestling styles of Greco-Roman and freestyle to judo, jujitsu, European styles of  folk wrestling , and even  fencing . The rules for sport sambo are similar to those in competitive judo, with a variety of  leg locks  and defense holds from the various national wrestling styles in the Soviet Union, while not allowing  chokeholds .

During the game, it is allowed to use tricks with the help of fingers and elbows to extinguish the tumor above the waist only. The duration of the competition, the procedure for assessing technical trials and winning, the form and size of the competition comply with the rules of free style wrestling.

The Olympic Games are the common name of the most ancient and most commonly celebrated festivals and competitions organized in Ancient Greece, Olympia, every 4 years in honor of the god of Zeus.

At the 265th Olympics in 281, the King of the Armenian Trdat III Arshakuni won the wrestling competitions.

The Olympics Museum (Olympia) has preserved the marble symbol of the winners of the Olympic Games of ancient times, which states that Varazdat Arshakuni's King is the winner of the Boxing Tournament in the last Olympic Games in 394.

Already in our time, in 1998 in Olympia, where the ancient Greek Olympic Games took place, its marble bust was erected.

Today our Greco-Roman wrestling is a little bit of praise for Armenia's reputation and glory worldwide.

Greco-Roman is an international discipline and an Olympic sport. In Greco-Roman style, it is forbidden to hold the opponent below the belt, to make trips, and to actively use the legs in the execution of any action. Recent rule changes in Greco-Roman increase opportunities for and place greater emphasis on explosive, 'high amplitude' throws. Pinning one's opponent to the mat is one way of winning. One of the most well known Greco-Roman wrestlers is  Alexander Karelin  from  Russia .

The wrestling is a self-defeating sport with certain rules where the goal of the winners is to gain an advantage over a rival, gain points, or hit the opponent's back to the ground. From the ancient times, when the wrestlers competed, the duration of the battles was not limited and continued until one of the opponents' victories.

Professional Wrestling or RESTLING

Professional wrestling or reshuffle (English, professional wrestling), a variety of non-competitive sports or sports leisure that combines athletics and performing arts.

Restling was formed in the 19th century when circus numbers were frequently organized in the United States where athletes were fighting dramatically.

Freestyle wrestling is an international discipline and an Olympic sport, for both men and women. This style allows the use of the wrestler's or his opponent's legs in offense and defense. Freestyle wrestling has its origins in  catch-as-catch-can wrestling  and the prime victory condition in this style involves the wrestler winning by throwing and pinning his opponent on the mat.  American   high school  and  college  wrestling is conducted under different rules and is termed  scholastic  and  collegiate wrestling .

Freestyle wrestling  is a style of  amateur wrestling  that is practiced throughout the world. Along with  Greco-Roman , it is one of the two styles of wrestling contested in the  Olympic games .  American   high school  and  college  wrestling is conducted under different rules and is termed  scholastic  and  collegiate wrestling .

Freestyle wrestling, like collegiate wrestling, has its greatest origins in  catch-as-catch-can wrestling  and, in both styles, the ultimate goal is to throw and pin the opponent to the mat, which results in an immediate win. Freestyle and collegiate wrestling, unlike Greco-Roman, allow the use of the wrestler's or his opponent's legs in offense and defense. Freestyle wrestling brings together traditional wrestling, judo, and sambo techniques.
