Hello! We live in Astrakhan. On the photo we are with friends.

A map! Astrakhan is in the south.

The Russians, the Tatars, the Kazakhs, the Kalmyks and people of other nationalities live here.

Our city is big and beautiful!

There are many attractions in it.

Welcome to our city for a week’s holiday!

DAY 1

Walk by the side of the river…

… and see the fountains! Listen to the singing fountain.

You can see a lot of big ships on the river.

Dive and swim in the river.

You can take fishing rods and fish in the river!

DAY 2

Visit the Kremlin and some museums.

Go to the theatre. There are theatres for children in Astrakhan.

You can see old and new buildings in our city, the Puppet theatre is on the left and the Opera theatre is on the right.

In the evening you can walk. Night Astrakhan is very nice!

DAY 3

Go to the Swan Lake and watch swans. Walk in the park and feed the birds.

Have a cake and a cup of tea in a Sharlau café or a burger and a drink at a fast food restaurant, McDonald’s.

We like picnics on the grass.

Visit the Astrakhan planetarium . It is near the Swan lake.

Have fun in the Planeta park. You can feed animals there and go on the dodgems.

DAY 4

Go to Baskunchak and swim in the Salt Lake. Climb the Bogdo mountain.

There are many rare plants there. This is Nastay’s photo of the Singing Mountain Bogdo.

On the back way visit the Sarai - Batu museum.

Long ago Sarai-Batu was the capital of Golden Horde.

You can watch a c amel rac e. It is great fun!

DAY 5

Go shopping. Visit the market and buy the Liman watermelons and red tomatoes.

DAY 6

Astrakhan is famous for beautiful Orthodox churches and the Muslim’s mosques. Take photos. Listen to the bells.

DAY 7

You can go down the Volga by ship and watch lotuses.

! It’s very hot in Astrakhan in summer. You need sunhats and sunglasses! Merry holidays to you!
