WHAT TIME IS IT?
ЦЕЛЬ: формирование грамматического навыка по теме : “What time is it?”
ЗАДАЧИ: -повторить лексику по теме «What’s on TV?»;
-развивать память, логическое и креативное мышление;
- воспитывать уважительное отношение к изучаемому языку, друг другу.
Этапы урока:
Организационный момент. Речевая разминка.
Фонетическая разминка.
Повторение лексических навыков по теме.
Введение грамматического материала.
Контроль усвоения знаний.

Ход урока:
Good morning, boys and girls. I’m glad to see you. How are you today? Who is absent today? What date is it today? So, let’s begin our lesson. Today we are going to speak about television. Tell me, please is TV important for us? Why? OK, thanks but has TV only positive qualities? OK. So, tell me, please what do you like to watch and why? OK, thank you.
And now look at the blackboard. You see a chant here. Before we start reading pay attention to the sound qu=[kw]
So, listen to me and repeat after me line by line:
What time is it?
It’s quarter to three.
Quarter to three?
Let’s swim in the sea!
What time is it?
It’s half past three?
Half past three?
Let’s watch TV!
So, let’s look at unknown words and try to understand what is this chant about.
So, let’s watch TV. Now we are going to revise our lexical skills. Look at the screen and match the words with the definition.

And now we will work in groups. You should make a riddle to each other. You should guess a programme or a film and make up sentences about it and the other group should tell what program it is.
So, and now answer my question, please «What is on?». How do you know it? So, why should we know what is time?
And now we are going to know how to tell the time.

Now we are going to work in pairs. Each pair will get a TV guide. You have about 2 minutes to look it trough and then you will present it to our class and we will get you marks.
Look at the screen, please. Now we are going to see a cartoon. Be attentive because at home you should sound this episode.
So, I’m pleased with your work at the lesson and I want you to do the last task. You should find a phrase. To do it you should find the letter of the hour hand firstly and then the letter of minute hand.
