Introduction

Today we are having an intellectual game “ Ybyrai Altynsarin – a great educator and public figure of Kazakh people ?”. Now participants will introduce themselves. We are welcome! With your permission dear guests I would like to start our lesson.

Main part

Ybyrai Altynsarin Kazakh teacher –enlightener, writer, ethnographer, writer of folklore.

The great Teacher of Kazakh children, the teacher-innovator, educator Ybrai Altynsarin was born in 1841 in one of province of Kostanai region. His father Altynsary died early, and the boy was brought up at the grandfather, well known in steppe of bi-judge Balkozha. In 1850 in Orenburg was opened the Russian-Kazakh school in which Ybrai studied among thirty other Kazakh boys.

Ybyrai Altysarin was briliant pupil, he was noticed by teachers many times. Leaving school he came back at home and became to work like clerk, later –translator and teacher.

Y.Altynsarin opened 4 two-classes central kazakh-Russian schools, 5 region’s schools, 2 schools for Russian children, skills’ school, school for teachers and some women’s secondary school.

There is the museum of Ybyrai Altynsarin in Kostanay in the center of city, where you can see how great enlightener lived and worked.

The monument to Ybyrai Altynsarin in Kentau was opened in May 2013.
