Yugra Guidebook

Yugra is an extremely beautiful region.

First of all I would like to tell my foreign guests about «The Barsova gora» (The Barsova mountain) and the reindeer.  These objects are included into "The seven miracles of Yugra ".

An unique natural object «The Barsova gora» is near the town of Surgut. In ancient times «The Barsova Gora» was a densely populated place like a big megapolis nowadays.

And now some words about my native town, the capital of Samotlor - Nizhnevartovsk.

Samotlor is an oil field.  

There is а giant bronze figure of an oil worker on entrance to the town. People name it «Alyosha». He has a flaming torch in one hand and an ice pick in the other. It symbolizes conquerors of Samotlor.  

Also we can see eternal flame to the memory of the soldiers who died in World War II and an open-air exhibition of Soviet aircraft near the airport.

In the old part of the town you can visit „The museum of history of the Russian life”. This wooden estate is located on the bank of the Ob river. It includes all main constructions of northern peasants of the last century.
