Our favourite animals.

Цель: актуализация лексики по теме «Животные»; совершенствование навыков монологической и диалогической речи.

Оборудование: картинки и игрушки животных, карточки с буквами, две разрезанные картинки животных, карточки с заданиями, компьютер, мультимедийный проектор.

Участники: учащиеся 3 классов

Цель:

1. Обобщить и систематизировать изученную информацию на уроках по теме: «Animals». Увеличить и разнообразить лексический запас учащихся и умение применять изученный грамматический материал в устной и письменной речи.

2. Развивать коммуникативные навыки учащихся, познавательные навыки, умение работать в команде.

3. Воспитывать любовь и бережное отношение к животным.

Ход занятия кружка:

1.Приветствие.

Teacher: Hello dear boys and girls! I’m glad to see you. Today we have a quiz. We will talk about our favorite animals.

Teacher: Perhaps you know a few poems about animals. What poem do you know? Учащиеся читают стихи о животных, взяв игрушку этого животного или картинку в руки.

Стихи о животных:

a) My dog is clever, strong and quick,

Its name is Spot, my name is Nick.

My dog is nice, my dog is gay,

We play together every day.

b) The Lion.

My paws are big and strong,

My tail is very long,

My mane is fine and thick,

And I am very big.

c) My cat.

I love my cat.

It is warm and fat.

My cat is grey,

It likes to play.

d) The White Bear.

The water in the sea is cold.

It is as cold as ice.

But I am not afraid at all:

My coat is warm and nice.

e) I am a little squirrel

As busy as can be,

I am gathering some acorns

For winter food for me.

f) I love all kinds of animals,

Dogs and cats and rabbits,

I love all kinds of animals,

I know their little habits.

Teacher: It’s time to name your team, name the members of your team.

Конкурс 1 «Назови животных»

How many animals do you know? Name them, please. The winner is team, which name the last animal.

Ученики из каждой команды по очереди называют животных. Побеждает тот, кто последним назовет животное.

Конкурс 2 «Yes/No»

Teacher: I will read the sentences about animals. Say «Yes/No».Ученики из каждой команды слушают по очереди предложения, соглашаются или нет с высказыванием.

1. Giraffes are fat animals No

3. Crocodiles can swim Yes
   
   

4. Zebras look like horses Yes

Конкурс 3 «Jumbled animals»

Teacher:  Now you`ll have the cards with the names of the animals.

The letter’s order of these words is wrong. Put them in the right order.

Каждая команда получает карточки с названиями животных, но буквы в названиях перепутаны. Ученики должны поставить буквы в правильном порядке.

Карточки:

God (dog), tca (cat),  iterg (tiger), rbbati (rabbit), rofg (frog), nhe (hen).

Конкурс 4 Riddles 

Teacher: Guess the animal. Учащиеся из каждой команды угадывают название животного.

1. I’m clever and very funny. I’ve got two arms and two legs.

 I can climb trees. I like bananas.

2. I’m big and strong. I eat leaves and bamboo.

3. I’ve got beautiful yellow skin with black stripes on it.

 I can run fast and jump. I eat meat.

4. I’m very tall. I’m yellow and black. I eat leaves.

5. I’m grey and I’m very big. I don’t eat meat.

I like vegetables, leaves, grass and fruit.

6. I’ve got a big body and a long tail.

I give milk. I eat grass.

Дети смотрят и разбирают сюжет, объясняя понятое.

Конкурс 5 «Letter»

Teacher:   I have a letter from our friends Larry, Lulu  and Nanny but it had been fallen down and now the sentences are in incorrect order. Let’s put all sentences correctly and then read it. Учащиеся из каждой команды составляют  письма и читают их, складывая слова в правильном порядке.

Конкурс «Собери картинку»

Teacher: You have a picture of animal, which is divided, into many parts. Your task is to make up a picture. The leader of the team must describe it.

Каждой команде дается конверт, в котором находятся 10 частей от картинки. Нужно быстро ее собрать и лидер команды должен описать его по структуре, данной на доске.

Подводятся итоги соревнований.

Teacher: Let’s count your smiles. The winner is … Well done. Thank you for your work. You were active, clever and friendly pupils. Our competitions are over.
