Albatross habitat The albatross is native to the Southern Hemisphere around Antarctica, South America, South Africa and Australia. In the distant past, it was widespread in most of the Northern Hemisphere, but now only a few species live in the North Pacific Ocean between Alaska, California, Hawaii and Japan. Being able to eat seafood and drink salt water, the Albatross has few problems crossing open oceans.
