This is my great-grandfather. Hero of the Soviet Union, Zinoviev Ivan Alekseevich. (10.09.1924 - 09.10.1943) I am very proud of him!

Ivan Alekseevich was born and grew up in our village Lozovoe. He liked going to school. My great-grandfather was a good student, a friendly and hardworking person. After his father's death, he became the sole breadwinner. In the picture you can see the house where Ivan Alekseevich lived.

• On June 22, 1941, Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union. My great-grandfather fought bravely against the Nazis, he was a commander of the Red Army. In the picture you can see the letter from the front that Ivan Alekseevich sent to his mother. It's very touching.

Zinoviev I.A. was the best sniper of the Regiment, participated in the Great Battle on the Dnieper River, he died defending our Motherland. He was 19 years old when he became a Hero of the Soviet Union. The bright memory of our grandfather will always remain alive in our hearts.
