Living in the streets
Module 5 А
Homeless people
Why do you think these
people have no home?
What causes the homelessness
- Unfortunate circumstances
- Unemployment
- Low income
- Bad habits
- Family problems
- Imprisonment
- Laziness
Your feelings about the homeless people
1 I’m sincerely sorry for the people that are left without home.
2. I really have a pity on such people.
3. It’s painful to watch them asking for money.
4. My attitude towards the homelessness is sharply negative.
5. The most important thing is that we should treat the homeless as people.
6. If I had a chance to make their lives at least a bit easier I would definitely do that.
Ways of solving the problem - help
- If you are passing by such people buy them at least some meal, they would be very grateful.
- When you walk past throw them a coin to show that you’re not indifferent to them.
- You can donate food or money in the canteens and open charities.
- You can bring clothes in special items.
- Of course, it is not the solution. But perhaps this is a good start. But only the beginning, nothing more.
We need necessary changes in legislation.
The state should help: provide with work, housing, work, food, treatment.
I believe that all people should be treated first and foremost like human beings.
