Assessment of the Essential Questions

Notes: both questions are open-ended, thought provoking and can be applied in any age-group. Topics chosen by girls (idioms and prepositions) always cause some problems to students, so they should be investigated with the help of PBL. However, they don’t connect with other disciplines, raise a limited number of choices, ideas, solutions. This fact can lead to low students’ interest and motivation.

Students’ understanding of Essential Question

  1. Each student should be able to understand the EQ;

  2. The language of the questions should be in broad terms;

  3. There should be a logical sequence to a set of EQ

  4. Essential questions should be posted in the classroom

Concerning this item of assessing, there is no doubt that both questions are easy for understanding. The language of the question is appropriate for school learners and people in general. Questions are logically and grammatically correct, pose many answers and can be easily presented in the classroom.
