The Assumption Cathedral was built of stone and decorated with unusual for this century lacy white stone carvings.

The Assumption Cathedral is the most significant work of architecture, "Naryshkin" baroque style.

The wooden iconostasis of the XVII century is the main decoration of the interior of the church.

The iconostasis has 7 tiers ( ярус ) of icons.

All the icons were painted by the artist Nicholas Solomon, a student of Simon Ushakov.

The Assumption Cathedral is one of the main symbols of Ryazan.
