British cinema has always stood somewhat apart from the rest of Europe. In the UK, the time of distribution of cinema there was a world famous acting school and significant cultural traditions.

English cinema in the postwar period has developed in two directions

Cinema - this image in motion, living not only in the plane in space but also in time, so the film spatiotemporal art. Cinema - the synthesis of speech, sound, game actors, music, but above all an image.

Events unfold in our day. He went to Afghanistan, became disabled. Upon his return to his native land meets the mysterious, but kind of a genius. That finding flatmate. London, 2010. Unexplained murders. Scotland Yard have no idea for what to catch. There is only one person who is able to solve problems and find answers to difficult questions.

Sherlock  is a British television  crime drama  that presents a contemporary adaptation of  Sir Arthur Conan Doyle 's  Sherlock Holmes detective stories. 

Sherlock  depicts "consulting detective" Holmes, assisting the  Metropolitan Police Service , primarily  Detective Inspector Greg Lestrade  ( Rupert Graves ), in solving various crimes. Holmes is assisted by his flatmate, Dr John Watson, who has returned from military service in  Afghanistan . 

" Cumberbatch - the newspaper The Guardian, - proved to be excellent in the role of eccentric , brilliant men , and his Holmes is cold , with a technical mindset and a mild form of Asperger's ," [18]. Cumberbatch commented: "His [ Holmes ] is very difficult to play , as due to the amount of words in your head and thinking speed falls incredibly to think quickly . He's one step ahead of the audience and all the people with normal intelligence who surround him . They do not really understand where he lead his conjectures "[18] . TV producer Piers Wenger called serial Sherlock modern superhero.

In an interview with  The Observer , co-creator Mark Gatiss says that they experienced more difficulty finding the right actor to play Dr John Watson than they had for the title character. [6]  Producer Sue Vertue said, "Benedict was the only person we actually saw for [the part of] Sherlock... Once Benedict was there it was really just making sure we got the chemistry for John [Watson]—and I think you get it as soon as they come into the room, you can see that they work together". [22]  Several actors auditioned for the part of Watson, [11]  and Martin Freeman eventually took the role.

The series is really good and keeps you in front of every TV series . Very exciting. Individual deserves praise Benedict Cumberbatch , coped with their role . Yes , it 's not like in the book , he's selfish and hypocritical , but that's the whole idea . Also, the idea is that the actions do not take place in the late 19th and early 20th century, and in our time . And the nature of " modern Sherlock " , in my opinion , is very appropriate . Worthy was a game and Martin Freeman played the role of Dr. Watson . I think he's perfectly coped with the task always accompanies another writer and Sherlock Holmes.

Methods and material turned out really special and presented the " jaded " theme of the London detective in a different, unusual and exciting light.
