CLAUSES OF REASON

We can’t visit Ann as she’s away on holiday.

CLAUSES OF MANNER

• As if/as though+ PP

He acts as if he knew everything.

He behaves as though he were a child.

The air is humid. It feels as if it’s going to rain.
