Тема: Seasons Weather

Цели и задачи:

1. развитие у учащихся межкультурной компетенции;

2. активизация коммуникативных умений;

3. совершенствование и расширение лексического запаса;

4. развитие эстетического восприятия мира

Greetings

• Today we’ll speak about seasons and weather. Look through the window! What is the weather like today? Is it snowy?
• Is it frosty? It is winter. It’s cold and dark in the morning.

Phonetic drill

Whether the weather is hot Or whether the weather is cold Whether the weather is fine Or whether the weather is not. We’ll weather the weather Whatever the weather Whether we like it or not.

Brainstorming

English and Russian sayings and proverbs about seasons and weather.

Guess and name the season, translate:

- April showers bring May flowers.

- Its raining cats and dogs.

Pupil 3: There is Atlantic Ocean near it.

Pupil 4: There are seas around it.

На доске - проекты, учащиеся рассказывают о погоде в разных странах Европы. Речь, мимика, жесты, реакция – учитываются.

England: It’ll be cloudy and rainy. In the morning it will be foggy. The t? in London- 20 degrees above zero.

Spain: Cloudy, rainy, wet. The temperature in Madrid is + 20?.

France: Sunny, windy. The t? in Paris + 22?.

Italy: No rain, sunny, hot. The t? in Rome +30?.

Poetry contest

Snow on trees, on the roofs, A snowman in the yard. Frost on windows, ice on ponds It’s Christmas card!

Raindrops on the sidewalk Like a grasshopper hops It dances, jumps and giggle And never, never stops.

Now listen to the poem and guess. Remember beautiful pictures of winter in Russia.

Звучат фрагменты из произведений Чайковского “Времена года”, Гершвина “Летнее время”, Вивальди “Времена года”. На фоне музыки учитель читает стихи.
