What are today's problems in the Khopersky nature reserve? One of the main problems is the issue of planned development Elanskogo Two deposits of Nickel in the Voronezh region – the only one of the largest untouched deposits of Nickel in Europe. The development of Nickel deposits will be 20 km from the Khopersky nature reserve, through which flows the river Khoper, recognized by the UNESCO as the cleanest river in Europe. It is here plan to start one of the most dirty and toxic industries - large-scale development of Nickel, ores, which are enriched in antimony, arsenic and other harmful impurities.Debate about the impact of this development on nature, the environment in General and Khoperska and Voronezh nature reserves in particular, are serious. The task of people is to preserve a living world for our descendants so they can see in wildlife, rare plants and animals, not to look at them in pictures in books.
