Вводный урок по теме: “Why do teens join the group?”
Цели: а) образовательные: активное использование в речи времен английского глагола
Б) развивающие: развитие словарного запаса учащихся, монологической и диалогической речи
В) воспитательные: воспитание толерантности, умения выслушивать собеседника, навыка работы в группе, умения отстаивать свою точку зрения.
На уроке были применены элементы ролевой игры, икт, конкурсные задания, проблемное задание-ответ на вопрос – “Why do teens join the group?”
Пояснение: Учащимся было дано опережающие задание – подготовить презентацию по теме «Молодежные субкультуры». Данная тема обычно интересна учащимся, поэтому они легко справились с заданием. Так же учащиеся должны были прийти на урок в неформальной одежде, представляющей различные субкультуры.
Итак, на уроке присутствует представители Панков, готов, хиппи, хакеров, Байкеров, рейверов и 4 учащихся, не относящих себя ни к одной молодежной субкультуре.
Ход урока:
1.)Организационный момент. Взаимное приветствие учащихся и учителя. Называние даты, дня недели. Повторение лексического материала уроков1-2 раздела 3 учебника, в виде перевода с русского языка на английский.
T: “Our theme today “Why do teens join the group?” You have already prepared the presentation. Now, Friends let’s express your opinions and defend your ideas.”
Начинается показ презентации, представители субкультур комментируют показ.
Student 1-“I have friends who are punks, I share their attitude to life. They are young people who dress in a shocking way to express their identity .They have brightly coloured hair and wear metal chains .they are thought to rebel against the society or the older generation. The music is aggressive. They reject everything.”
S2 “I’d like to say a few words about hackers. They are the “ wizards” of the computer community; people with a deep understanding of how their computers work, and can do things with them that seem “magical” to express themselves .They do not protest against their parents .I like to communicate with them, because I learnt a lot of useful things from them.”
S3 “Hippies… Some classify these people like drug users and rock and roll fans, since their behaviour and attitudes differ from social norms. They support liberal attitude and lifestyles. I have got friends who are neo-hippies ,they don’t use drugs, they are rock and roll fans and want to change this world for the best.’’
S4 “I like computer made music, And I mix a lot with the ravers. We create massive all-night dance parties in empty ware-houses. We like to be in a collective. Many people dislike us, because we are considered to be violent and rebellious. But is it bad to communicate with many teens and enjoy yourself?”
S5 “I admire bikers. I like their style-leather jackets and army boots”
S6 “I like gothic music, I prefer black colour in my clothing, I like reading fantasy books. I have pen-friends who are goths. Many people dislike them, but I enjoy such company.”
Teacher: “So, friends, we have got teens who have not joined any grouping yet. Do you like any grouping represented here? Have you already made your choice?
Student7-“I have friends who are punks, and some friends who are hippies, I like gothic music .I don’t think it’s necessary to join any group, I’d like to communicate with all the teens.”

“I don’t want to join any group, I like being alone. In my spare time I listen to the music and read books.”
Student 9
“I heard about environmentalists. They are not indifferent to environmental problems, I found some Internet sites, and already have pen-palls .I’d like to help to solve ecological problems of Russia.”
Sudent10
“As far as I concerned I got interested with the hackers .I want to become a computer engineer and need friends who will teach me to work on computer well.”
T “So ,hackers you have got one more friend. Congratulations!”
T: “Students, in the second part of the lesson let’s participate in two contests.
Let’s divide our class into two groups. So, make as many sentences as you can answering the question : "Why do teens join the group?”
S1 “They want to have more friends”
S2”They want to show off”
S3 “They want to rebel against society” …..

Подведение итогов, выставление оценок. Высший балл получают учащиеся выигравшие конкурсные задания.
