Our Special Room

The kitchen is the most important room in many houses. So it is in our house. It is not only where we cook and eat but it’s also the meeting place for family and friends. It is not very big. It is the warmest room in winter. You can always find something tasty there. It’s tidy. There are never dirty dishes in the sink.

There are wonderful flowers on the window sill. The blue curtains on the window make our kitchen very cosy.

It is wonderful when we all sit round the table drinking tea and chatting about everything. We usually tell Mum our secrets and discuss our plans for future in the kitchen. Whenever we have a party, our friends gravitate (устремляются) to the kitchen. It’s our special room.

1. The Great Fire of London
