Music is a cross-cultural universal, an activity found in every known human culture. Music is everywhere we go. A tool for arousing emotions and feelings, music is far more powerful than language. One common use of music in our society is enjoyment and aesthetic appreciation. Some people also use music functionally, for mood regulation, for a distraction from troubles, for reducing loneliness, for self-definition.

It is obvious that music can evoke emotions. Some studies show us that we can recognize three basic emotions (happiness, sadness, fear) expressed in music. Many people demonstrate different preferences in music. Now it’s my turn to do it.
