Тема: «Здоровый образ жизни подростков. Хорошие и плохие привычки здорового человека.»
Цель: научить обучающихся вести беседу о здоровом образе жизни, на основе прослушанного текста, используя лексику урока, хорошие и плохие привычки здорового человека.
Задачи: стимулировать уровень мотивации изучения положительных и отрицательных привычек подростков с использованием английского языка; поддерживать интерес к стране и культуре изучаемого языка при прослушивании познавательного текста; совершенствовать навык самостоятельной работы.
Оснащение: учебник В.П.Кузовлева 8 класс, раздел 5, стр.124-127, презентация учителя к уроку, мультимедийный проектор, компьютер, копии заданий к тексту для аудирования, раздаточный материал.

Some people care about their health, other don’t. What is healthy and what is unhealthy? What do you think? Now I suggest you to read the text.
Both obesity and physical inactivity are known from ancient times. In those times people used to consider obese people healthy. Obesity and inactivity are joined by the modern bad habits: smoking and drinking alcohol and the surprising «danger» of sleeping either too much or too little, watch TV a lot eating between meals and skipping meal. These bad healthy habits could lead to different diseases. Of course neither sleeping too much nor snacking as dangerous as smoking, obesity and drinking, but they are signs of dangerously chaotic lifestyles.
Regularity in life promotes your health. Sleeping seven or eight hours, getting up early, having a healthy diet , eating a variety of foods, taking regular exercise is really a good to life .

How to combat bad habits.
(Как побороть вредные привычки)
1. When we speak about bad habits we usually think about alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction. But the list of bad habits and harmful behaviors is much longer than one may imagine. A lot of them may seem harmless and stick to us from our childhood. The earlier we reveal these habits and begin to combat them, the quicker we will be able to quit them. Choosing healthy lifestyle at a young age, we can secure a long life, which can be spent on the important and pleasant things such as doing sports, science or arts, building a family and bringing up children, traveling, volunteering etc.
2. A large group of behaviors damaging our health and shortening our life refers to poor eating habits. They include such unhealthy addictions as overeating, eating junk food and fast food, snacking at the TV or a computer, late suppers etc. Each habit belonging to this category is harmful in its own way. For example, meals from fast food restaurants contain much fat, sugar and carcinogenic substances from frying oil. Eating such food leads to overweighing, problems with stomach and intestines and even more serious diseases.
3. We must remember that eating healthy food is very important, especially for the growing organism. Dairy products, crops, vegetables and fruit, fresh juices, boiled meat and fish give us vitamins, necessary proteins, fats, carbohydrates and important minerals. Healthy diet combined with sports will make us strong and beautiful, and provide enough energy to study well and do our favorite things.
4. Another group of harmful behaviors typical for students includes such violations of the correct daily mode as going to bed late, watching TV and playing computer games for hours. Such activities take a lot of our time which could be spent on studies, hobbies, sports and a good rest. As a result, lovers of watching TV, surfing in the Internet or playing computer games begin to find it getting up in the morning very difficult. They experience difficulties with their studies and feel constant weariness. Their relationship with parents, teachers and friends get worse and often escalate into conflicts.
5. Long hours of sitting in front of the monitors damage our eyesight and spoil the posture. And, it is not a secret to anybody, that playing computer games may cause a strong addiction. Except problems with physical health, gamers are exposed to a variety of mental disorders. Their memory and intellectual abilities worsen; they have trouble in communication and are not interested in the real life.
6. In fact, it is not so difficult to organize our day allocating time for studies and doing homework, having meals, communicating with friends, doing sports and hobbies, a sound sleep. In addition, of course, you will find a little time left for surfing in the Internet or watching TV programs. Having accustomed ourselves to healthy lifestyle, we will be able to overcome any bad habits.
