Adverbs  describe verbs (actions). They give more details about the action.  My cat eats  slowly .   To create adverbs we normally add –ly.      Happy – happily  Slow-slowly Wonderful-wonderfully Quick-quickly Noisy-noisily Careful-carefully

 Examples:   She passed the exam  easily .  They walk  quickly  to catch the train.  The dinner party went  badly .  John answered the question  correctly .   However, there are some irregular adverbs that do not end in –ly. Be careful! Examples: She dances well. He came home late. The boys worked  hard .
