Тема: Соседи. Neighbourhood.

Цели: продолжить формирование умений в чтении, с извлечением специфической информации; продолжить формирование навыков монологической речи и диалогической;

развивать навыки восприятия речи с аудио записи; развивать внимание, память, мышление;

развивать навыки умения работать в группе; воспитывать чувство взаимоподдержки;

Ход урока.

I Организационный этап.

T: I’m glad to see you, dear friends! Take your seats please. How are you today?

Tell me, please! Who is on duty today? Who is absent today?

II Актуализация знаний, проверка выполнения домашнего задания.

T: Let us remember what we talked about in the last lesson. Correctly. We talked about family relationships. What were you supposed to prepare?

S: We should have written about our family.

T: Let's see how you handled the task.

(несколько учеников, вызванных учителем, зачитывают свои работы).

III Фонетическая зарядка.

T: Let's prepare our vocal apparatus and recite the exercise on pronunciation of sound [e]

(Сначала прослушиваем запись, затем хором произносим):

Well said. Press bell. Get better.

Very well, then. Well, I never.

He’s telling me he isn’t ready yet.

1) – I can’t come before Wednesday.

- Before when?

2) – You met him on the tenth of September.

- You met him when?

3) – I shall never help him again.

- Never is a very dangerous word to say.

IV Постановка цели и задач урока. Мотивация учебной деятельности учащихся.

T: Open the student book on page 12. What do you think we will talk about today in class?

S: I think we're going to talk about relationships between people, maybe not just related.

T: Indeed, the topic of our lesson "Neighbors" Today we will consider the vocabulary that should be used in specific cases. Let's listen to the dialogue on the topic. Let's get acquainted with the phrases used to build a dialogue on this topic. So, begin.

V Речевая разминка.

T: First, look at the pictures. Describe what you see on them.

(Примерные ответы):

1. In the first picture we can see five people around a table - two children and three adults. They're in the house. I think this is a family: brother and sister, their parents and grandmother. It is the girl or boy's birthday as there are presents in front of them.

2. In the second picture there are also five people - three children and two adults. They are standing outside someone's house and talking. I think they are two different families and that they are neighbours.

3. In picture three we can see two young people - a girl and a boy. They sitting outside in a park. The girl is looking at the boy. Maybe she is trying to talk to him but he is looking away. Maybe they are boyfriend and girlfriend.

VI Первичное усвоение новых знаний.

1.T: Choose the correct word. Check in the World List. (Работа в малых группах. Класс делится на 3-5 групп. Каждая группа работает над определенными вопросами, указанными учителем).

1 Mrs. Jacobs is always involving/interfering in things that don't concern/worry her. 

Ответ: 1 interfering, concern (interfere in - вмешиваться в, concern in - касаться, беспокоиться, а worry in - накручивать себя, беспокоиться)

2 He's always making/picking fights with his neighbours! It's difficult to make/have friends with him. 

Ответ: picking, make (pick a fight - ввязываться в драку, устойчивая идиома, make friends - подружиться)

3 My cousin really gets/puts on my nerves! He thinks he knows everything! 

Ответ: gets (get on nerves - действовать на нервы, устойчивое выражение)

4 Josh is always showing/telling off and saying how good he is at everything. 

Ответ: showing (show off - фразовый глагол "выпендриваться, хвастаться")

5 It's usual/typical of him to put the fault/ blame on others. 

Ответ: typical, blame (typical - типично, чаще употребляют в отрицательном аспекте, а usual - привычно; put the blame on - сваливать вину, идиома)

6 His parents are extremely pleased/enjoyed with his progress.

Ответ: pleased (pleased with - быть довольным чем-то, устойчивое выражение) 

7 Sue is very popular/famous with her friends. 

Ответ: popular (popular - известный в определенном кругу людей, а famous - известный среди многих людей, знаменитость, по контексту не подходит)

8 Our mum gives/takes good care of us. We are close/near to her. 

Ответ: takes, close (take care - заботиться, фразовый глагол, close - близкий по духу, а near - близкий по расстоянию)

9 I've got a great connection/relationship with my brother. We never have/make arguments. 

Ответ: relationship, have (relationship - отношения, а connection - связь; have arguments - иметь споры, спорить, устойчивое выражение)

10 When John makes/gives a promise he never takes/breaks it. 

Ответ: 10 makes, breaks (make promise - давать обещание, а give promise - подавать надержды; break it (promises) - нарушать обещание, устойчивое выражение)

11 My parents didn't allow/let me stay out late when I was at school.

Ответ: let (=позволять, т.к. stay без частицы to, это отличие употребления let от allow, кроме того, let чаще используется в неформальном общении)

12 She always depends/relies on her family for help and support.

Ответ: relies (rely on - полагаться, а depend on - зависесть. Кроме того, "rely on что-то" часто употребляется с предлогом for)

 
13 His grandparents don't approve/agree of the way he dresses. 

Ответ: approve (approve of - одобрять, фразовый глагол)

14 Her parents object/refuse to her staying out late. 

Ответ: object (object to - возражать, чаще всего требует после себя герундия, -ing формы)

15 I don't really know/recognise Steve. We smile and say/tell hello but otherwise we stick/keep to ourselves.

Ответ: know, say, keep (know - знать, а recognize - "узнавать", по контексту не подходит; say hello - здороваться, устойчивое выражение; keep to ourselves - держать дистанцию, устойчивое выражение)

Ответы:

1 John is Phil's new neighbour. (Джон это новый сосед Фила).

2 John has been having problems sleeping because of Phil's loud music/the noise coming from Phil's house. (У Джона были проблемы со сном из-за громкой музыки/шума из дома Фила).

T: Explain the underlined phrases.

keep it down: make less noise (создавать меньше шума)

T: You have a problem with your new neighbour. Act out your dialogue. Use the dialogue in Ex. 6 as a model.  
(Ученики составляют и проговаривают диалоги).

T: Choose the correct response. Listen and check. (Тест может быть отображен на слайде).
