Игра «Звёздный час» на английском языке для учащихся 8-10 классов и их родителей. Данное мероприятие позволяет обобщить изученный материал в игровой форме и способствует повышению интереса к иностранному языку

Цель: поддерживать интерес к изучению английского языка, к стране изучаемого языка, расширять кругозор учащихся
Оборудование: карточки с заданиями, картинки с достопримечательностями, песни на английском языке
ХОД ИГРЫ
Leader: Dear guests, teachers and friends! We are glad to see you at our competition. Today we are having an unusual activity. There will be a competition between 3 teams. You will show what you can do. So, let’s begin our “STAR’S HOUR”.
My name is Malika. I’m the leader of today’s program.
Now, let me introduce our judges. Here they are: S.A.Tikhova, our English teacher, Andrey Stepanov – a tenth former, … … etc.
Now, dear friends, I’ll introduce our boys and girls, who are taking part in today’s quiz.
Задание 1. Представление команд. You have 3 minutes to introduce your team with the help of funny pictures. Учащиеся рисуют картинки и представляют свою команду по-английски.
Задание 2. Английский алфавит. Do you know the English alphabet well? Answer the questions, please. Who will be quicker? Учащиеся вспоминают алфавит и отвечают на вопросы.

Задание 4. Достопримечательности. What do you know about places of interest in Great Britain or in the USA?
1) I’ll give you cards. They are mixed. Try to collect them in right order.
Команды соотносят описание достопримечательности с её названием.

Задание 5. Конкурс капитанов.

Задание 6. Музыкальная пауза.
Во время проведения конкурса капитанов другим участникам предлагается 5 отрывков популярных песен на английском языке. Командам необходимо отгадать исполнителя.
Жюри подводит итоги конкурса.
