- There are many different interesting holidays in the English speaking countries. I want to tell about some of them, I think the most interesting for me .
I. Easter Easter is a religious holiday and is celebrated in spring. Most people go to church services on that day and give each other chocolate Easter eggs. On Easter Monday people make a one-day trip to the seaside or go to a football match or horse racing. It is celebrated in April.
There are many Easter symbols in Great Britain:
Easter Eggs, Easter Bunnies, Chicks.
Parents hide eggs in the house or in the garden. Little children think that Easter Bunny brings and hide eggs for them.
This is a very popular Easter song for children ” Here Comes the Easter Bunny ” Here comes the Easter Bunny. My friend, the Easter Bunny. Here comes the Easter Bunny hopping along, singing a bunny song. I love the Easter Bunny. My friend, the Easter Bunny, Here comes the Easter Bunny, hop, hop, hoping along. There goes the Easter Bunny. My friend, the Easter Bunny. There goes the Easter Bunny hopping along, singing a bunny song. I love the Easter Bunny. My friend, the Easter Bunny. There goes the Easter Bunny, hop, hop, hoping along
Children like to play
Easter egg-rolling .
Easter egg, Easter egg,
roll forward not back!
II.
The 17th of March is a national holiday in Ireland – St. Patrick’s day. On that day people wear a shamrock. A shamrock is a plant with three leaves. It is the national symbol of Ireland.
St. Patrick was a man who had wonderful power. He cleared Ireland of snakes.
