Objectives: - development of creative abilities of students;

  • increased interest in learning English;

- development of skills of teamwork in solving various tasks;

Carrying out of the game and its participants:

     The game is held among the students of the 4th grade. The team consists of students in the amount of 6-8 people. The game team accompanies teacher who works at the station. Each team is given to the routing list with the names of the stations. This development shows the job for 12 stations. Each team must perform different tasks at the stations. Assignments are game and do not go beyond the curriculum. At each station for an assignment in a team score the itinerary. The winner is the team with the maximum number of points.

Management and organization of the game: To guide the game is created by a jury of teachers at the school. The jury determines the criteria for assessing student responses, summarizes, awards winners.

Instructions for the game: Hours at each station - 5 minutes! (students are given 4 / to complete the task, the teacher - 1 / explanation on the job, checking and summarizing). At number 12 habitats runtime 8 minutes.

During the game, a teacher working at the station should keep track of time! Teachers working at the stations, you must have:

1) Paper sheets (one for each team).

2) 1 pen for teachers and pens for children (in the number of team members).

3) summary sheet to record the final total score of each team (the serial number of the team specified in the itinerary).

4) Watches (stopwatch or an hourglass)

Each team must have a routing sheet

(see. Appendix №1).

On it were written the names of the stations, and in the center - № team.

At the beginning of the game held the draw, the team is assigned a serial number and issued travel card with the corresponding number.

Teams go on stations, focusing on the itinerary. First shaded arrow in the itinerary shows the first station of the route. The arrow is written the name of the station. After the assignment at the first station, students move on to the next station (based clockwise itinerary).

Requisite for each station: - For the teacher - sheet with reference (+ answers), a pen, a summary sheet to record the results  of     each team, watch with a second hand.

                                                       - For students - pens (pencils), a sheet to record the responses (one for each team).

Job for 12 stations (Presentation. Appendix 2)

1. “Secret Letter” – name the words beginning with “b”.(1 word – 1 point)  (Slide 2)

The teacher gives one team sheet, pen and explains the task.

 

In the allotted time (4 minutes) need to write as much as possible of English words beginning with the letter "b". Team members write them on your sheet in a random order, team decides itself who writes the words (all at the same time or in turn dictate the words to one member of the team). After 4 minutes, recording stops words (1 minute is given to explain the tasks and conclusions).

 

The maximum number of points at the station depends on the number of correctly spelled words (1 word - 1 point).

 

Equipment: a recording sheet words handles.
