- этап применения изученного (обобщение и систематизация);
- этап информирования учащихся о домашнем задании;
- рефлексия;
- подведение итогов урока, оценка деятельности учащихся на уроке.

Организационный этап.
T: Good morning, dear children!

T: Take your seats, please.

T: Children, today we have some guests. Let’s introduce yourself.
It’s very interesting for our guests to know what we usually do at our lessons.
P1: We read texts.
P2: We write.
P3: We sing songs.
P4: We translate.
P5: We play a little.
P6: We ask questions.
P7: We answer the questions.
T: The theme of our lesson is “We like the place we live”. Today we’ll speak about your country, town. Our task is to describe, to ask questions and to work in pairs. What proverb do you know?
P1: East or west home is best.
T: What does it mean?
P2: It means that it is the best place where we live, because we see our friends, parents, grandparents every day.

T: By the way the boy from Great Britain is present at our lesson. His name is Sam. Sam, come here. It will be interesting to know some facts about Sam, the place he lives in.

P5: Is London a city or a town?
P6: What can you tell us about your country?
5. Работа над темой.
T: Children, listen to Sam attentively and after his story answer these questions.
Where is the U.K. situated?
Where does the queen live?
Are there many mountains in Scotland and Wales?
Are there many rivers in Great Britain? Are they long?
Is the climate wet?
Is the U.K. a nice country with many traditions and good people?
T: Sam what do you know about Russia?
Sam: I know that in Russia there is a lot of snow and everyone goes skiing.
6. Развитие навыка чтения.
T: Sam told us about his country, and of course he wants to know more about Russia. Let’s help him. Open your books. P.34, ex.3. Read the text themselves. I’ll give you 3 minutes.
T: Read what you can see in the city.
Read what you can see in the country.
Read sentences about Moscow.

T: Who was in Moscow? What can you tell about Moscow. (P1, P2, P3, P4.)
T: I know that your grandparents live in the country. Describe this place.

T: Open your book. P.35, ex.6. Listen to the tape - recorder. Read this rhyme themselves. Who wants to read? (P1, P2, P3, P4.)

11. T: And what about your geography knowledge? Say what towns, cities are situated on the banks of rivers. Those words can help you. Example: Saratov is situated on the banks of the Volga.
