Цели:

1. практические: формирование практических умений в говорении и чтении;

2. воспитательные: воспитание интереса учащихся к такой проблеме как конфликт и способах его разрешения, улаживания;

3. образовательные: расширение кругозора учащихся, изучение причин возникновения конфликтов;

4. развивающие: развитие логического мышления, коммуникативных умений и применение их на практике.

Задачи урока:

образовательная: закрепить и обобщить знания учащихся по теме «Конфликты»;

развивающая: способствовать развитию умения анализировать и обобщать знания;

воспитательная: воспитывать личностные качества: ответственность, самостоятельность, способствовать воспитанию культурных ценностей;

здоровьесберегающая: предупреждать переутомление у учащихся путем смены деятельности.

Оснащение урока: дидактический раздаточный материал по теме, компьютер, проектор.

Ход урока

1.Организационный момент.

Good afternoon. I’m very glad to see you. How are you? I hope our work today will be successful. I want you to pay attention to the screen, watch and guess what do we speak about today? Any ideas? What questions are we going to discuss? How do you think?

First of all let’s work with our active vocabulary. Take these cards and repeat the words after me:

Respect – уважение, уважать;

 - Conflict is a misunderstanding between people.
– What is the difference between a problem and a conflict?
– A conflict is more serious than a problem. It is more difficult to resolve a conflict and it takes more time, much effort and personal strength. 1. What is a conflict for you?

What kinds of relations must be in the family?

- The conflict between children 
- The conflict between teacher and pupils. 
- Political conflict. 
- Family conflict. 
- Conflict between girlfriend and boyfriend.

- Conflict between mother and daughter. 
And so on, but these are the most popular kinds of conflicts. 

4. Активизация лексического материала.

The next task - I’ll give you these cards; there is a lexical material on our topic. You should classify the words and word combinations into three groups: the first group finds out the feelings, which conflict causes; the second group writes down the verbs of the description of the conflicts; the third group enumerates the reasons of the conflicts. There are 8 words or word combinations for each group. Start, you have 5 minutes. 

to be upset, to discriminate, to have different values, unhappy, to shout, angry, to betray, to have fights, nervous, to break rights, annoying,  to misunderstand, violent, to trouble people,  unfriendly, to argue, to ignore, , to envy, to disagree, unfair, to hurt, to tell lies, to bully classmates, to criticize.

Teacher 2: O.K., my dear kids! I’m very glad that you have no serious problems in your families. But still, the problem of family conflicts exists and makes unhappy a lot of teens throughout the world. Some of them get upset or depressed when they can’t solve their problems. Look at the photo. What can you tell us about this girl?

S1: The girl is pretty.

S2: She is of my age.

S3: No, she looks younger! She may be 14.

S4: The girl is sad. She can have some problems, I think.

Teacher : That is! Why do you think she is unhappy?

S1: She might have quarreled with her boy-friend.

S2: She may have had a conflict at school.

S3: She probably…

Teacher 2: O.K. In fact, the girl’s name is Sasha. She lives with her mum, dad, an elder brother, a younger one and a sister. She doesn’t get on well with any of her family and plans to leave home as soon as she is old enough… She has written a letter to the youth magazine “Shout”.

  -    Teens should follow the rules of behavior at home, at school, in public places.

  -    Spend their spare time with benefit for themselves.

  -    Teens should ask for psychological help.

  -    Ask grown -ups for help and follow their advice.

  -    Teenagers shouldn't quarrel with other people and should avoid conflicts with them.
 -    We shouldn't shout at each other.
 -    They shouldn't show off.
 -    They mustn't be aggressive and bully other people.
 -    They mustn't use dirty language.

Homework: Project «Family Conflicts».

Задание № 4 : Make up sentences (Conditionals I,II.) and give an advice to this family.

If I am a parent I will be interested in my children life, discuss their problem.

If I am in difficult situation like this girl I will share his problem with my close friend.

If I were in similar situation as a girl of course I would share my problem with my mom but never left my home.

If parents did their best to keep peace in their family they would do some activity together, do sports, interested in their child friends ect.

If children want to get on well with their parents they will be more patient and attentive tj their dearest parents.

If I have difficult situation I will try to avoid conflicts! Be kindhearted & fair!

Andy: Hi, Peter. What’s up?

Энди: Привет, Питэр. Что новенького?

Peter: Hi, Andy. Nothing new really. All is well in general. How are things with you?

Питэр: Привет, Энди. Да ничего нового, правда. В целом, все нормально. А как у тебя дела?

Andy: Fine, thanks. I’m planning to join our school football team. They are playing at the yard tomorrow. Are you with me?

Энди: Все хорошо, спасибо. Я планирую присоединиться к нашей школьной футбольной команде. Они играют завтра во дворе. Ты со мной?

Peter: No, never. Forget about it. I told you many times that one of my worst enemies is playing for this team. In fact, their team is rather weak. You must be crazy to want to play on their side.

Питэр: Нет, даже и не думай. Я говорил тебе много раз, что мой заклятый враг играет в этой команде. Кстати, их команда довольно слабая. Ты с ума сошел, если хочешь играть на их стороне.

Andy: Not true. They have a great team. Wesley told me they are doing good progress on the field.

Peter: He can tell you anything, but I know that they have never won during the city championship.

Andy: Well, that’s because they are a comparatively new team. I’m sure they are working hard to play better.

Peter: Do, as you wish. I’m never joining them. Moreover, I even don’t want to see their unprofessional game. I better watch a good match on TV.

Andy: Does that mean you are not going to come to my game?

Andy: Fine. And that tells me that you are not my best friend anymore if you can’t simply come and support me. Next time you ask me about something I’ll remind you about that.

Энди: Ну и ладно. А я делаю вывод, что ты больше не мой лучший друг, если не можешь просто прийти и поддержать меня. В следующий раз попросишь меня о чем-нибудь, я тебе припомню это.

Peter: Why are you so upset? Isn’t Wesley your best friend since recent times? Питэр: Что тебя так расстраивает? Разве с недавних пор Уэсли не твой лучший друг?

Andy: Well, of course, he is a good friend of mine. We’ve met last autumn. As he was a newcomer at the class, he needed some friends and I offered him my help in finding some. As for you, we’ve been friends since kindergarten. How can you ignore the fact?

Энди: Ну, конечно, он мне друг. Мы познакомились прошлой осенью. Так как он был новичком в классе, ему нужны были друзья, а я ему помог их найти. Что касается тебя, мы же друзья со времен детского сада. Как ты можешь игнорировать этот факт?

Peter: I don’t. I just want my best friend to support me in certain situations. For example, only a week ago I told you that Matt a halfback offended me. After that you want to join their team and to play for them. I won’t applaud to you if that’s what you are expecting.

Питэр: А я не игнорирую. Я просто хочу, чтобы мой лучший друг поддерживал меня в определенных ситуациях. Например, всего лишь неделю назад я сказал тебе, что Мэтт полузащитник оскорбил меня. После этого ты хочешь примкнуть к их команде и играть на их стороне. Я не буду тебе аплодировать если это то, чего ты ожидаешь.

Andy: I don’t need your approval. I just want you to come and watch the match when I play. It doesn’t matter who else plays for this team. The only thing that should be important for you is that I play there.

Peter: I see. You are too self-centered to see my point.

Andy: You too then. Don’t call me anymore and don’t ask me to help you with homework.

Peter: I won’t. And you don’t ask me to defend your younger brother when he gets into trouble.

Питэр: Не буду. А ты не проси меня больше защищать твоего младшего брата, когда он попадает в беду.

Andy: Fine, I won’t. I’m sure my new friends will give me a helping hand when needed.

Энди: Отлично, не буду. Я уверен, что мои новые друзья придут на помощь, если понадобится.

Peter: I don’t care. I don’t need a friend who doesn’t value our friendship.

Питэр: Мне все равно. Мне не нужен друг, который не ценит нашу дружбу.

Andy: Good-bye then.
