«ЕГЭ. Английский язык. Задание 38.1 (эссе)»

Nowadays, the theatre is becoming a less popular pastime among some people. While doing a project on the topic, I have found a table with some results of the survey why Zetlanders are not keen on theatre-going. I am going to analyse the survey data and give my opinion on the subject of the project.

As can be seen in the table, more than the half of the respondents (52%) consider theatre-going expensive. It is also noticeable that the least popular reason for not going to the theatre is inconvenient time of performances with 6% of the polled choosing this option. 13% of the surveyed have other interests from theatre-going.

Looking more closely at the table it is clear that the percentage of people who note high tickets prices is almost five times as big as the number of those who prefer online broadcasts (52% and 11% respectively). It is not surprising because going to the theatre nowadays is really expensive. Even if you buy tickets in advance, they are not cheap.

One problem can arise with choosing a play to watch. Different people have varying preferences and tastes. It is difficult to choose a proper play to watch in a theatre. The best solution to this problem is to check information on a theatre website where one can easily find a brief description of each play. It will give people an opportunity to enjoy a performance and have a good time.

In conclusion, I am convinced that theatre-going is essential for everyone. It enriches our lives by combining entertainment with educational and emotional engagement.
