Внеклассное мероприятие
по английскому языку в 5-6 классах
«English - speaking countries»

Цели:
Повторение и обобщение лингвострановедческого материала по теме «Англоговорящие страны»;
Расширение знаний учащихся;
Повышение интереса к изучению иностранного языка
Оборудование: компьютер, карточки с заданиями, звездочки, таблички с цифрами, мультимедийный проектор, призы.
Ход мероприятия
Организационный момент.
В игре участвуют 6 участников. Всего пять этапов, на каждом этапе по три задания. За каждый правильный ответ игрок получает звездочку. Игрок, получивший наименьшее количество звездочек выбывает после каждого тура. К 5 туру остаются 2 игрока. Участник игры, набравший наибольшее количество звездочек выигрывает.
Teacher: Good afternoon, boys and girls. I am pleased to see you. I think you’ve noticed we have guests today. Look at them and don’t worry. Today we’ll play a game «Звездный час». We are going to revise what we’ve learnt about English – speaking countries and refresh our knowledge. But first, name all English- speaking countries and their capitals. (Участники игры называют все англо-говорящие страны и их столицы, учитель объясняет правила игры)

После подсчета звездочек начинается суперигра. Ребятам дается слово на английском языке, за 1 минуту должны составить как можно больше слов. Игрок у которого больше звездочек может им воспользоваться, в случае если у него закончились слова. Игрок, составивший больше слов – победитель.
