University of Exeter
Introduction
The University of Exeter is a research institution with a 100-year history, part of the Russell Group. It is considered one of the most prestigious in the country.
The University of Exeter ranks 11th in The Complete University Guide, 146th in The Times World University Ranking and 10th in the Guardian University Guide.
It was here that members of the royal family, Olympic champions and world famous politicians and writers received their higher education.
The History
The university dates back to 1855. The educational institution was founded as an art school. It received university status 100 years after its opening: the University of Exeter (Exon) was named by royal decree in 1955 in the British city of Exeter
Campuses of the University
The university has four campuses: Streatham and St Luke (both in Exeter); and Truro and Penryn (located in Cornwall, southwest England). Streatham is the largest campus, which houses many of the university's administrative buildings, and is considered the most beautiful in the country.
