«Four seasons in UK»
SEASON AND WEATHER
When weather remains the some for a long period, we call it season. Everybody knows there are four seasons in a year. They are spring, autumn, summer and winter. Every season is good in its own away. The weather depends on the geographical position of the country. Of course, all seasons are nice and every season has its color: spring for example is green, summer is bright, autumn is yellow, winter is white. Every season has its advantages.
Winter is a beautiful and magical time of the year, it is the coldest season of a year. Winter lasts for three months: December, January and February. The temperature in winter is low. It is frosty, and it often snows. Rivers and lakes are frozen. Everything is white with snow and it's a merry time for both children and grown-ups they can go skating and sledging, but sometimes the weather is rainy and gloomy, and this is the most unpleasant time. In winter the sun seldom shines, its rays are pale, it sets early and rises late. In winter many birds flew away to hot countries. The winter weather depends on the region. For example in Great Britain, there are four winter month, starting from November. Winter may be harsh or mild here. The amount of snow is different from year to year. The sky is covered with clouds.
Spring season is the most lively season of the year. People are fond of this time because of its beauty, slight cool and fresh weather. It is the queen of all seasons, it comes after winter season and before summer season. Spring begins in March and ends in May. The sun is warm, the sky becomes brighter, blue and pure. The air is fresh, it is full of birds' songs. The trees and the grass are green. There are a lot of beautiful flowers. How beautiful they are: lilies, tulips and violets - the first spring flowers. In Kyrgyzstan the first spring flower is-baychechekey. It is still cold in march, in my country it rains and sometimes snows. April is a warm month. Although, it is a rainy season, the weather is not cold anymore. So nature returns to life.
Summer is a great time of the year. The three summer months are June, July, August. In summer it is hot, the sky is clear and blue. The days are long and the nights are short and warm. Most of the time there is wonderful, dry weather. The air is heating up, it becomes hot. Summer is time of holidays and vacations. People go to the sea to recreate and sunbathe. Someone prefers to have a rest in the mountains, but someone likes to travel to interesting places. Unfortunately, the summer is over very quickly, and I begin to look forward to the next summer vacation. The summer season gives us fresh fruits, berries and vegetables. Summer is a wonderful season.
After a good summer rest autumn comes. Autumn is a rainy season. In autumn the sky is often cloudy; the sun hides behind the clouds and then appears again. The air can be moist. September, October, November are autumn months. It is usually still warm in September, but nights become cooler and longer. Days are often rainy and foggy. In the beginning of October cold winds start blowing and leaves are getting yellow and red and then begin to fall. The sun is not so warm as it is in summer. Autumn is also the season of harvesting. Vegetables, fruits, wheat and rye are cropped at this time. In October and November is already cold. It often rains. Birds start flying away to the south and animals make preparations for the wintertime.
Every season has its own advantages. But my favorite season is spring. And it's no wonder because i like fresh spring air and I like beautiful spring flowers. I also like to walk along the streets in spring and watch how nature awakens from its long winter sleep and returns to life.
So in every season there are bright and dark side. But we must be thankful together whatever the weather. In my opinion every season is beautiful and attractive.
