Glossary about PBL

Project-is the development of confidence in using English in the real world.

PBL-is a teaching method that presents students with a problem to solve, requires them to gather information from various resources and asks them to come up with an original solution that ends in a product or performance.

PBL-is systematic teaching method that engages students in learning important knowledge and 21st century skills through an extended, student-influenced inquiry process structured around complex, authentic questions and carefully designed products and learning tasks.

PBL learning-is a student-centered pedagogy in which students learn about a subject through the experience of solving an open-ended problem found in trigger material.

Essential question helps students conduct problem-related research, makes students produce original ideas rather than predetermined, encourages critical thinking not just memorization of facts.

The driving question is the question you pose to students in order to get them to investigate a problem or process.

An open-ended question cannot be answered with a "yes" or "no" response, or with a static response.

An authentic task is an excellent strategy to engage students, meet learning goals, and measure student understanding.
