Objectives
1) Educational: Presentation of the lesson “My name is Omar” and to train new words and expressions.
2) Developing: To develop the pupils’ habits on speaking, to develop pupils’ creative and logical abilities, understanding, reading and writing, grammar.
3) Bringing-up: to bring up love and interest to the subject, to respect each other, to create an English atmosphere in the classroom.
Teacher greets the class with a good-morning or good-afternoon depending on the time of the day. Have the class stand up and respond to his\her greeting and do a warm-up. Teacher greets the children as they come in. Teacher says “Hello” and smile. Teacher encourages them to say “Hello” in response. Teacher pointing to himself\herself and says: Hello! I’m ….(his\her name). Teacher asks the children around the class What’s your name? Teacher encourages them to say I’m ….(name). Teacher encourages the students to do the same.
Presentation.
To teach the greeting and introducing you can use the video song. First, let the children to watch the video, then ask them to sing together.
Practice.
You can use worksheets to practice the greeting and introducing phrases.
Ex. 1 p.19. Teacher asks the students to open their textbooks at page 19. Students introduce the people given in the pictures using the expressions My name is….
Follow up activity.
Teacher introduces the letters Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee using the ppts, video song. You can use the worksheets writing letters.
Ex.8,p.19. Teacher asks the students to make up a dialogue.

Home assignment. Teacher asks the children to do finger puppets. Students introduce them.
