We have fun being around each other
Today it is fashionable to speak about teenage problems. A few years ago alcohol, fights, killings and other kinds of violence were more problems for adults than for young people.
It's true that there are sop many problems fasing teens today.
My friends and I don't do anything exciting, but we usually have fun just being around each other. We usually talk about humorous things My friends and I try to help each other if we can, because a lot of the time, being a teenager isn't fun. You have to go to school and your parents want you to get good grades, which are hard enough in itself, and you have to deal with your own problems too. А sel 15
We are all good guys.
Our parents try to distract us from evil habit. At our time, the teenager since early age begin to drink, smoke, have experience with sex and take drugs
The children begin to use drugs. And not all manage to stop. Some teens commit suicide. Using alcohol, cigarettes and sex teenager consider that they are already adult. Children choose their own styles of life. Some become the punks, the other hippies, but some of them what is worse, join skinheads. The parents do not understand their child and the conflicts begin. Adult try to take measures, but do only worse. Each parent ants their children to be obedient.
My friends and I want to become successful in life. We go in for sports, spend a lot of time on studying. We are all good guys.

Teenage problems.
It’s me!
But now, as official reports admit, violence, AIDS, drugs and alcohol are more and more associated with youngsters. For many children from poor families violence, drinking problems and all that is associated with poverty becomes more real than reality. Almost half of teenagers have an experience with drugs, alcohol under age of 16. A lot of teenagers who have drug or alcohol addiction almost never believe that the y are dependent. These things are ofter combined with family and school problems. No doubt, the teens' problems will increase. And young people should feel that they are cared for.

They do not let me out а t night.
I'm a normal teenager.
I want to go out and have fun with my friends and do teenager things.
Then I have my parents. All they ever want to do is to talk to me about how bad I am at things and how I should focus more on my school.
They do not let me out at night and do the things that I want to do.
All my friends started meeting someone of the opposite sex around the age of 14. Either a girl or a boy can invite someone on a date. Parents very rarely choose dates for their children.
Young people usually meet and choose their own dates. Boys and girls go to parties together. They go on dates to the cinema, dances, roller skating, etc. Dating is often very expensive, they say.
I wish I had a cute guy to go on dates with.

- "AS SOON AS I AM OLD ENOUGH...
I`m just a basic teenager who wants to have some fun.
- Then I have my parents. They have to know what I am doing and with whom. For example, if I disappear into my room for some peace, it is guaranteed that someone will come after me, wanting to know what I am up to. It means nothing is safe. I guess they go through all my stuff, muck about with my toiletries. If I want to keep anything secret, I have to use a lock and key on my cupboard.

I am going to live home as soon as I am old enough. It would be great if I could get a job and a flat, but that is not very likely, so I am going to apply a college. I
wish I just had one tiny room of my own. My mates always say that I will miss my parents once I leave, but I doubt that!
- Right now in my life my friends mean everything to me. I am just a basic teenager who wants to have some fun.
- Though I have some problems that bug me, but WE ARE TOO YOUNG TO SEE ONLY BAD SIDES OF LIfE!!!

- Although I am nearly seventeen , my mum and dad treat me like a baby. They do not let me go out at night during the week and if I want to go to a friends house at the time I have to be home by. Dad always asks me about boys, warning me that I am not allowed to go out on a real date till I am at least eighteen-what a joke! He keeps nagging me about homework and studying, and he does not believe me when I say I do not have any to do. He just thinks I am being lazy when I sit watching the telly at night. KSENIA 15 years

Fortunately I am interested in thing. Other things .
If you ask me…Well. I focus more attention on doing my work than on impressing a cute guy. I am very busy at school. Learning is
- a precious gift to be treasured always. I think we must appreciate and embrace knowledge as the key to achievement of our dreams.
- My friends and I also take an active part in social life of our school. My school- mates often come to our place. They like my parents. We drink tea and discuss humorous things. On the other hands, we a also talk about serious things like abortion, sex and politics. As for my parents… We are friends , we trust and respect each other.
- But when I go out on weekends there is a lot of pressure to drink and to smoke. And weekend activities are limited. Fortunately I am interested in doing other things.

The people I hang
about with don’t
put any pressure
on me or anyone
else.
We usually go out with a bunch of friends, both girls and boys.
Social events such as discos and parties are very popular conversation topics among teens
.It seems to me boys are football-fans and the girls are very crazy about their appearance and clothes.

- "My four granddaughters are all very clever, but lazy and naughty girls,
- Each of them has her own responsibilities, but they never carry them out properly.
- Tanya's responsibility is washing up.
- I've now forgotten who does shopping, but I know it's the girl who makes fun of everybody.
- The girl who cooks breakfast is not Lena, the girl who forgets everyth
- ing is not Marina, and Tanya is not a sleepyhead. Olga doesn't do the shopping, and she is not the
- girl who comes home late.
- Lena doesn't make fun of everybody.
- Marina doesn't walk the dog.
- And the girl who cooks breakfast is not a sleepyhead, either.
- What does each of them do?"
My problem is that every time I need new clothes my mum comes with me to buy them. We don't have a lot of money, so any new clothes I need go on one of the credit cards.
- She's quite old-fashioned and will only take me to shops like Burton's as she says all the other shops only sell rubbish and she wants me to get something that's good quality and will last. I've tried to get her to take me to Top Man as I know Burton's card can also be used there, but she just says no.
- The last time I got clothes my friends saw me with Mum in Burton's and really made fun of me for it .
- Please, help!
