Traditional Japanese wedding

The present left the mark on carrying out of this ceremony. Nowadays wedding is an interesting combination of the Japanese ceremony with Catholic wedding. But Japanese have no relation to Catholic belief. All procedure passes, as a rule, in a hotel , where this celebration was appointed for two-three months ago .

As wedding is a very expensive action , that is why you should remember all your relatives for last 30 years and to write them invitations to a celebration. But not for the sake of a meeting with old palsy-walsy, but for the sake of an action recoupment. The first part - Japanese.

As a rule, only a newly-married couple is dressed in national clothes (montsuki-hakama (a black dressing gown with the family arms) on the groom and a kimono on the bride). All visitors are dressed in European, except several women , who in this case put on their own celebratory kimono (black). Visitors are transplanted so in order to people from the company of the groom sat at the central tables, and other relatives take places on the lateral tables . The bride is in a red kimono. But for original ceremony in a Buddhist temple the bride should put on a white kimono and white cunokakusi (on a head).

The second part - modern.

Then Newly-married couple leaves and comes again in the European wedding dresses. Then thankful speeches to visitors from parents of the groom and the bride, and the request of acceptance of participation in future life of a newly-married couple. On this the wedding is ended. The guests get hikedemono (thankful souvenirs), and all arrive to the houses.

Pink camellia

Many Japanese traditions are connected with camellias, for example, white camellias are used for wedding ceremonies, as a longevity symbol. The camellia is often used in spring ikebanas together with peonies. Also camellias are used for scenery of tea ceremony. camellia one of the exotic flowers, blossoming before other flowers in a cold season and pleasing bright paints, foretelling spring.

In Japan the bride with her family goes to the groom on wedding-day. By tradition the bride puts on a triangular kerchief on a head in order to hide "jealousy small horns" which are at each woman. Then the groom and the bride drink nine drinks of sake (rice vodka). It is considered that after the first drink they officially become the husband and the wife.

There is one more distinctive moment of the Japanese weddings - on the Japanese weddings it is not allowed to dance. Of course the music will play on the wedding, there could be some musicians and singers for fun. The Japanese youth on weddings likes to sing songs under a karaoke. Many toasts and congratulatory speeches in honour of newly married are usually said. On the big weddings there is a host - the leader of wedding. The wedding supper can be ordered at a restaurant at a wedding complex. It is possible to order dishes of Italian, French and so on kitchens.

Wedding dresses of the bride and the groom in Japan as a rule are hired , because there are not so many interested persons who want to pay some thousands dollars for a wedding dress which the bride will dress for one evening. In Japan the bride often prepares on wedding two dresses - a traditional white dress and the second evening colour dress. For example if the wedding will be magnificent and many visitors will be invited and the hall of celebrations at restaurant for a wedding supper will be reserved , in this case the bride should necessarily changes clothes after an official part of a celebration in a beautiful evening dress.

Some interesting facts ……

• It is not allowed to dress up cars of a wedding with spheres and dolls. Here cars are not decorated at all.
• There is also one interesting moment - on the Japanese weddings it is accepted to give gifts to all invited to wedding . In such gifts it can be everything, for example , boxes with sweets, coffee, tea and so on. In Japan in all large shops there are departments specialising on the sale of various gifts for wedding ceremonies.

• In wedding travel the Japanese newly-married couple goes to Hawaii or sometimes they travel abroad or across Japan. All depends on their imagination and financial possibilities.
• In Japan there was passed one of the most unusual wedding ceremonies. Originality consists that the ceremony was passed in an ice chapel in ice village on island Hokkaido.
