Как бороться с «ЭКОмонстрами»?

• Гипотеза: возможно, «ЭКОмонстры победимы?
• Цель работы: выявить, чем обусловлена экологическая проблема и кем являются «ЭКОмонстры»?

План:

• Изучить экологическую проблему: знакомство с лексическими единицами по данной теме; выяснить, что такое «ЭКОмонстры нашего времени.
• Разобратся в экологической ситуации.
• Написать письмо другу из Англии.

Pollution of our region.

• Air pollution. The stinky problem of pollution has grown. More and more factories, cars and trucks add their bad breath to the air.
• Cleaner Rain?
• Dirty Water?
• Cleaner Cars.
• Trash in the streets.

Air care.

• More and more factories, cars and trucks add their bad breath to the air. But the battle against air pollution is also growing.

We have dirty air. Our country is making laws against air pollution. And scientists are looking for ways to make factories and cars run cleaner.

Cleaner Rain?

• Chemicals called sulfates puff out of coal-burning factories around the world. When the sulfates mix with clouds, acid rain falls and harms lakes, rivers and plants- and the creatures that need them. The wind blows the air around.
• Scientists are figuring out ways to make coal burn more cleanly. And now the amount of sulfates in the air is dropping. So less acid rain is falling!

Dirty water?

• Nearly half of the lakes and rivers are polluted. Companies dump chemical wastes into water.
• But scientists are finding a solution to this problem.
• Some rivers have been made much cleaner.

Cleaner Cars.

• Cars are the world’s biggest air polluters. But scientists are trying to invent cars that pollute less. These are electric and energy minivans and cars.

Trash.

• Everyone should look at what they throw away and try to throw away less. But many people are working hard to fix you, and many kids are rooting for you. By the time these kids have grown up, you may be your clean old self again!

The letter to my foreign friend.

• Hello, my dear friend.

I’m writing about our environment. I want to say that our region is pollution. There are many problems in our ecology. These are “ECOmonsters”: air care, cleaner rain, dirty water, cleaner cars, trash.

I think and hope that we and our scientists must do better to our environment.
