Тема урока: Действуй!
Практические задачи: Организовать ознакомление и активизацию лексического материала по теме. Организовать чтение текста с охватом его основного содержания. Научить устной и письменной речи по теме. Организовать аудирование текста.
Образовательные задачи: расширять филологический кругозор учеников: формировать первичное представление о лексическом строении английского языка; приобщать учеников к диалогу культур - англоязычной и родной.
Развивающие задачи: развивать коммуникативные навыки учеников; развивать умение логически мыслить, логически излагать свои мысли; развивать кратковременную слуховую память; развивать навыки чтения; развивать сообразительность; развивать умение работать самостоятельно; развивать долговременную слуховую и зрительную память.
Воспитательные задачи: воспитывать положительные черты характера: активность, трудолюбие, доброжелательность, самостоятельность; воспитывать морально-этические нормы поведения.
Планируемые образовательные результаты
Предметные: формировать умения и навыки направленного аудирования, диалогической речи, поиска информации в сети Интернет; развитие навыков чтения с извлечением необходимой информации; способствовать использованию в речи материала из газетных статей.

1.Подготовка к восприятию иноязычной речи.
1)Приветствие, сообщение темы и задач урока.
Draw Ss’ attention to the title ‘Take action!’ and ask them what they think it means. Encourage Ss to predict what vocabulary they will see in the unit. (Слайд 1)

Go around the class monitoring Ss’ discussion and helping with any difficulties. When Ss have finished stimulate discussion based on Ss’ ideas. Ask Ss to explain the meaning of the words in bold without the use of a dictionary, i.e. they can use synonyms, paraphrase etc. Elicit/ Explain the meanings and write them on the board. Ask each group to choose one of the events they have just heard about and to play the role of presenter, reporter, or participant in the event and to act out a dialogue/interview. Allow Ss time to prepare. Go around the classroom monitoring Ss’ work and helping with any difficulties. When Ss have finished ask them to act out the interview for the class. Go around the class monitoring Ss’ work and helping with any difficulties. Check Ss’ work and give feedback. As an extension you can ask groups to present their news report to the class. ● Synergy. Allow Ss one minute to think of ten words they have learnt in today’s lesson. Ask Ss to use them to make their own sentences. When Ss have finished ask them to get up and go around the class to find a partner who has something in common with them e.g. same hair/eye colour, same clothes, same taste in music, etc. Ask Ss to discuss what they have learnt in the lesson with their partner.
