Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

  • закрепить и обобщить знания, учащихся по теме «Австралия»: расширить кругозор по англоязычному страноведению, расширить знания об основных фактах истории, географии, природы Австралии;
  • повторить грамматическую тему –ThePassiveVoice;
  • активизировать употребление тематической лексики.

Развивающие:

  • развить умения учащихся анализировать и обобщать знания, способствовать развитию коммуникативных умений (аудирования, говорения, чтения, письма);
  • развить языковую память, логическое мышление, внимание, воображение, самостоятельность и самоконтроль и т.д.

Воспитательные: способствовать воспитанию у учащихся духовно-нравственных ценностей, уважение и интерес к культуре других стран.

План-конспект урока английского языка в 9 классе

Тема урока: Путешествие в Австралию, Сидней.

Цели урока :

  • расширять страноведческие знания обучающихся;

  • совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком;

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

  • закрепить и обобщить знания, учащихся по теме «Австралия»: расширить кругозор по англоязычному страноведению, расширить знания об основных фактах истории, географии, природы Австралии;

  • повторить грамматическую тему –ThePassiveVoice;

  • активизировать употребление тематической лексики.

Развивающие:

  • развить умения учащихся анализировать и обобщать знания, способствовать развитию коммуникативных умений (аудирования, говорения, чтения, письма);

  • развить языковую память, логическое мышление, внимание, воображение, самостоятельность и самоконтроль и т.д.

Воспитательные: способствовать воспитанию у учащихся духовно-нравственных ценностей, уважение и интерес к культуре других стран.

I. Организационный момент.


1. Приветствие.

T. Good afternoon , pupils.

P. Good afternoon, teacher.

T. I am glad to see you. How are you today?

P. We are fine, and how are you?

T. I am fine too, thanks. There are some guests at our lesson today. Let’s greet them.


2. Ознакомление с темой и целью урока.

Are you ready to work?

Look at the screen. Read the motto and try to guess what it is about. ( слайд) «This is the most wonderful continent in the whole world.

Its nature, plants and animals are amazing and unknown to most of the people in our country. This continent is famous for its red sands and sunsets. The beauty and the surrounding of this country will always impress all the inhabitants, guests and tourists from all the other parts оf our world.»


T: And now answer my questions using the phrases ,

Australia.

Australia is the largest island in the world and the smallest continent. Nearly 20 million people live in Australia. The capital of the country is Canberra, this city become a capital in 1927. Sydney is the oldest and largest city in Australia. It was founded in 1788. Sydney is a big industrial centre.

The official language is English.

Australia is washed by the Indian ocean in the west and the Pacific ocean in the east. The country consists of 6 (six) states and 2 (two) territories.

Australian climate is dry and warm. Australia is situated in the Southern Hemisphere and that is why it has summer when we have winter. January is the hottest month in Australia.

Australia’s best-known animals are the kangaroo, the koala and the dingo (a wild dog). There are 50 species of kangaroo. Some stand as tall as a man and some are as small as a cat. They can often be seen in many of the forests and parks. The koala is the best loved of all Australian animals. About 400 species of birds in Australia are found nowhere else in the world. There 55 species of parrots in Australia. They are very colorful. The emu is the most interesting bird in Australia. It is big and cannot fly. The kangaroo and emu can be seen on Australia’s coat of arms. The kookaburra is another interesting Australia bird. It cannot sing, but laughs like a human.


The unique climate and the isolation of Australia from other continents explain the existence of unusual plants and animals. The commonest tree of Australia is the eucalyptus. In those areas you can also find strange bottle trees. They preserve water in their trunks.


Australia is the sixth largest country in the world comprising of several states and territories with Canberra as its capital and Sydney as the largest city. Each of these states and territories encompass a large number of cities. The Capital Cities of Australia are:
