Класс 8

Тема: Использование компьютерных технологий. Компьютерная сеть

Цель: создание условий для осмысления новой учебной информации по теме «Social networks: pros and cons», для формирования коммуникативной компетенции обучающихся.

Задачи:

Образовательные: добиться усвоения новых лексических выражений по теме «Social networks: pros and cons», обеспечить отработку навыков устной речи посредством различных коммуникативных ситуаций, формирование умений вступать в диалог и полилог;

Развивающие: совершенствовать умения анализировать, обобщать, делать выводы; способствовать развитию умения аргументировать свою точку зрения, поддерживать дискуссию, приходить к компромиссу;

Воспитательные: создать условия для формирования умений социального сотрудничества, воспитывать уважение к точки зрения собеседника.

Тип урока: урок формирования новых знаний.

Формы работы: фронтальная, в парах, группах.

Оборудование: иллюстрации, раздаточный материал, ноутбук, презентация, мяч.

Ход урока

I.Организационный момент

-  Good morning, everyone. I am glad to see you here. I hope you are OK. Look at the board. I want you to be active, don’t be shy and speak only English.

II. Постановка целей и задач

T: Let’s have a look at the blackboard. What can you see? What can you see at this picture?

- What can you see at the second picture? (Приложение 2)

- What can you see at the third picture? (Приложение 3)

- What do you think we are going to speak today? (ответы учеников)

- You are right. We are going to speak about social networking.

T: Once I read such a phrase: “Social Networking should never replace face-to-face time”

- How can you understand these words?

- I suggest you to make this expression an epigraph to our lesson and discuss advantages and disadvantages. So, what is a theme of our lesson? What aims can you put on this lesson?

1.Беседа

- What are the most popular social nets?

- What can we use social them for? Write as many functions of them as you can.

2. Работа с лексикой

• work through the internet – работать по интернету

• surf the Internet - путешествовать по интернету, бродить

• gambling - азартная игра

• computer addiction – компьютерная зависимость

• it has no effective control – нет эффективного контроля

T: Right now, make up the sentence with one of the phrase. Do it orally.

- What can we use social nets for? Write as many functions of them as you can.

- So, social nets help us communicate, listen to music, watching video and so on.

Т:  Let’s have a rest. We are throwing a ball to each other pronouncing the words connecting with our theme.

III. Закрепление нового материала

1. Работа в группах

- Now when we have just repeated all the words you will work in groups. The first group should write arguments “for” social networks; the second group should think arguments “against” social networks; and the third one should write what we could do if there were no Internet in our life. Each member of the group should write any argument with his or her felt-tip pen.

- Now your task is to represent your arguments to the class. Each of you may represent his/ her own argument or one of you can read all of them. Members of other groups should show «like» if they agree with the argument, or «dislike» if they disagree with it, но вы объясняете почему. Вы можете добавить свой аргумент.

- You can see the arguments “for” and “against” social networking and also different activities which you can do in your free time besides communicating in social networks. Which conclusion can you make taking into consideration the arguments of all three groups?

Т: Let’s return to the epigraph of our lesson. “Социальные сети никогда не должны заменить общение лицом к лицу” At the moment, having heard all the arguments, do you agree with it?

Now, smile those students who think their work was great, stand up those who think their work could be better and put your hands up those who think they were not very active today.
