Тема урока: Типичный английский дом. Дома.

Тип урока: комбинированный.

Цели урока: развивать коммуникативную компетенцию на среднем этапе обучения.

Задачи урока:

обучающие 

– активизировать изученную лексику по теме модуля;

- развивать навыки употребления в речи структур «There is/are», предлогов места

- развивать умение аудирования

- развитие умений монологической и диалогической речи в рамках темы урока

- развивать умения ознакомительного и поискового чтения

- развитие творческой деятельности в рамках темы урока

- развивать умение письменной речи        

Развивающие 

– развивать умение смыслового чтения: прогнозирование содержания текста по заголовку

- развивать умения во всех видах речевой деятельности

- развивать умения самоконтроля и самооценки

Воспитательные

-воспитывать уважение к своему дому

-развитие памяти, внимания, мышления в рамках темы урока

-развитие творческой деятельности в рамках темы урока

Начальный этап урока:

Организационный момент.

• Good morning! I’m glad to see you! Sit down!

• How are you? Are you ready? Let’s start our lesson!

 Warming - up.

- Look at the blackboard! What is it? (It’s a house)

- But everything is mixed. Please, help to guess what words are hidden here. (на доске изображение дома, в названиях комнат все буквы перепутаны. См. приложение)

 - What furniture can we see in the living room/bedroom/…?

• What furniture&appliences can we see in the kitchen?

Развитие в речи навыков употребления структур с предлогами места.

Look at the board. What do you think the room is? Is it a kitchen? A bedroom?..Yes, it’s a living room. You can see a sofa, a bookcase, a cupboard, a piano, a little table and some flowers in the living room. I want to tell my pen-friend about it but I can’t finish each sentence. Can you help me? I want you to divide into 3 groups. And if the group complete the sentence correctly it gets a point/ it score.

- I know that for most of you the bedroom is your favourite one. Which of you can describe your bedroom? Show me the plan of your bedroom.

• Remember that to do it we need “there is/are” construction and prepositions.

• Let’s ask (Lera) some questions: - Is there a carpet on the floor? Are there any shelves on the walls? What is there next to the bookcase? Where is the wardrobe?

Now I want to describe my bedroom. Look at the board. There you can see a ///poster/// with a plan of my bedroom but it’s not complete, it’s empty. There are some pictures with furniture on the table. Choose the right object I’ll tell you and put it in the place. This is the door and this is the window.

Let’s start with the bed. It’is at the left wall next to the window.

There is a wardrobe in the left corner.

Between the wardrobe and the door there ‘s a bookcase with a lot of books in it.

There is a TV opposite the bed. And under the TV there’s a table.

You can see a carpet under it (under the table).

Between the bed and the window there’s a little table. It’s called a bedside table.

You can see a photo and a clock on the little table.

Behind the bed on the wall there are two lamps.

On the bed there’s my Marta the cat, my pet. It’s fat. It’s white red and black.

  You know that most Russian people live in the flats and a lot of English people live in the houses. And today we are going to read a text about a typical English house.

Open your books on page 51. Look at the picture. You can see a beautiful house called semi-detached house. It has two floors. There are some rooms downstairs and some rooms upstairs. Guess what these words mean. …Very good. And now repeat after me (new words).

Think of five words you expect to find in the text. (Students’ answers)

Do you want to know what a typical English house is like and what there is in it? Then read the text and fill in the missing words.

Поисковое чтение.

- Imagine that you are creative designers, you have a task to draw a plan according to the instructions. Work in groups. (Учащиеся получают листочки с планом дома, задача: изобразить схематично, что находится в доме Джона согласно тексту.)

- Read the text once again and do the task. Work in groups. You have 5 - 7 minutes.

- Now let’s check. Please show your plans, let’s compare. Come and put your works on the blackboard.

Развитие навыков устной речи 

Look at the board. There are some headings: type, inside, outside, special feature. Make notes under them. Then using the headings and your plan tell the class about John’s house.

Если останется время, собрать пословицы из слов

There is no place like home. East or west home is best. My home is my castle.
