Тип урока: урок развития речевых умений;

Вид урока: традиционный

Формы работы: коллективная, индивидуальная, парная.

Используемые методы: словесный, коммуникативно – ориентированный, метод критического мышления, интерактивный метод, метод использования ИКТ, метод коллективного взаимодействия.

Цель урока: развитие речевых умений описывать погоду и делать прогноз погоды;

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

-активизировать ранее изученные лексические и грамматические единицы по данной теме;

-ввести и первично закрепить лексических единиц по теме «Погода»;

- научить учащихся строить предложения с использованием новых слов и выражений;

- познакомить учащихся со структурой описания прогноза погоды;

- научить учеников создавать собственный прогноз на основе изученного.

Развивающие:

- развивать навыки восприятия и понимание речи на слух, устной ( монологической речи) с использованием опорного контекста;

- развивать речемыслительную деятельность учащихся;

- развивать интеллектуальные и творческие способности учащихся;
Воспитательные:

- способствовать развитию культуры взаимоотношений при работе в парах, группах, коллективе;

- воспитывать культуру общения на английском языке;

- воспитывать у учащихся познавательный интерес к окружающему миру, потребность расширять свой кругозор;

- содействовать повышению уровня мотивации на уроках через средства обучения;

I.Организационно-мотивационный этап:

1. Приветствие учителя и организационный момент (5 мин.):

Teacher (T): Good afternoon, boys and girls.

Pupils (P): Good afternoon, teacher. We are glad to see you.

Teacher (T): I am glad to see you too. Sit down, please.

Teacher: Listen to the riddle and guess the topic of our today lesson.

It is sunny. It is hot.

It is windy. It is cold.

It’s warm today.

Yes, what a lovely day!

Yes, what a terrible day! (Weather).

Pupils: The topic of our today’s lesson is “Weather”.

Teacher: Yes, you are right.Today we are going to study and practise “weather” vocabulary, develop reading and listening skills, speak about the weather forecasts.

II.Операционно – познавательный этап:

1. Warm – up (5 мин.).

Teacher: I have a small bag. You should choose a note from it, read the question and find your pair.

-What is your favourite season?

-What are winter’s months?

-What is your favourite weather?

-Do you like rain?

-Do you like snowy weather?

2. Vocabulary presentation (9 мин.):

-What immediately comes into your mind when you hear the word “weather”?

Teacher: Look at the blackboard and match the pictures with the words.

Teacher: Open your books at p.123, ex. 2b. Read the definitions and match them with the weather symbols and words.

3. Vocabulary practice in listening and reading (10 мин.):

Teacher: Now let’s listen to the weather forecast and do some tasks. The task for the first group is listen to the information and put the parts of the weather forecast in the correct order.

The task for the second group is listen to the information and write down the country.

1. And here is the weather forecast for tomorrow for cities around the world. In Bangkok it will be cloudy for most of the day. However, there will be some showers in the afternoon and evening. And it’s going to be another hot day with a high of 36 degrees! Wow! So perhaps not the best day for jogging, but a good day for shopping inside – in air conditioning!

2. And for those of you going to Chicago, don’t forget to take your warm clothes because there’s going to be heavy snow overnight and strong winds during the day. I guess that’s why the call it the Windy City. And it’s going to be a very cold day with a high temperature of only 2 degrees.

5. And finally, in London, you’ll need your umbrella tomorrow because there are going to be heavy showers throughout the day and strong winds as well. The high for the day will be around 15 degrees, so you’ll need your jackets as well.
