Конспект внеклассного мероприятия «Knowledge is power»

Участники воспитательного процесса: учащиеся 8 «А, Б, В» класса.

Цели игры-соревнования:

1. Развивать неподготовленную речь учащихся.

2. Развивать творческие способности учащихся.

3. Повышать мотивацию школьников к изучению предмета.

4. Обобщить лингвострановедческие знания учащихся, полученные на уроках английского языка.

Задачи:

Образовательные задачи:

1. Закрепить знания учащихся по изученным темам

2. Расширить общий кругозор.

Развивающие задачи:

1. Формировать умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное решение;

2. Развивать положительные личностные качества (ответственность, доброжелательность, чувство взаимопомощи).

3. Развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.

Форма проведения воспитательного мероприятия: игра-соревнование.

Место проведения воспитательного мероприятия: кабинет на базе МАОУ «Давыдовская гимназия».

Оборудование: проектор, компьютер, раздаточный материал (маркеры, бумага, таблички с номерами, квадрат с цифрами).

Предварительная подготовка: подбор соответствующего материала, подготовка раздаточного материала, выбор времени и места, создание презентации игры, часы с секундной стрелкой, оформление кабинета, подготовка грамот для участников.

Содержание внеклассного мероприятия:

1. Организационный момент

Приветствие участников и гостей мероприятия.

Роль ведущего исполняет учитель.

T: Good morning , my dear students! I’m very glad to see you here. Today we shall have a competition called “Knowledge is power”. Two teams will take part in our game and you’ll see who is the most quick-witted and the cleverest. It’s time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1^st team?

P: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Friendship”. Our motto is “One for all and all for one!”

T: Who is the captain of the 2nd team?

P: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Merry kids”. Our motto is “Don’t worry, be happy!”.

T: I think today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. A competent jury will count your points. The members of our jury are …

2. Объяснение правил игры

T: Now I’m going to teach you how to play this game. The game has 8 contests, they are:

1. The ABC game.

2. A magic 5.

3. Parts and wholes.

4. Proverbs and sayings.

5. Hidden words.

6. A tongue-twister.

7. The right choice.

T: Well, I wish you success. Be active, honest and helpful!

3. Ход игры

1 тур. The ABC game.

T: The 1st contest of the game is called “The ABC game”. Students, you’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. In one minute you are to put the letters in the right order, so as to get the name of the English-speaking country. Each team can get 5 points.

(Карточки с буквами: 1. Е, N, G, L, A, N, D. 2. A, M, E, R, I, C, A).

2 тур. A magic 5.

T: And the 2nd contest will start. It is called “A magic 5”. Look at the square, each team will take turns in answering questions. You’ll choose any number. “ …”, it’s your turn to start. Captains will choose the number.

You can get 5 points for the right answer.

1. Say or sing the English alphabet.

2. Name 5 colours.

3. Name 5 sorts of vegetables.

4. Name 5 school subjects.

5. Name 5 sorts of fruit.

6. Name 5 winter sports.

7. Name 5 summer sports.

8. Name 5 things that people wear.

9. Name 5 domestic animals.

12. Name 5 the most popular people in your country.

3 тур. Parts and wholes.

T: The 3rd contest is called “Parts and wholes”. I need 1 pupil from each team. You should combine these parts so as to get a famous place in London. Who will be the first? You can get 1 point for each right answer.

T: Our next contest is called “Proverbs and sayings”. Each team will get a list of words. You should put the words in the right order so as to make up a proverb. You have 2 minutes at your disposal and can get 3 points for this assignment.

(Обе команды получают одинаковый набор слов, из которых должны получиться 3 английские пословицы).

5 тур. Hidden words.

T: Attention, please! The 5th contest is called “Riddles”. This round is for the captains. Please, answer these questions!

1. What has two arms and four legs? ( An arm-chair)

2. What word is always pronounced wrong? (Wrong)

3. What goes up and down at the same time? (Staircase)

4. What is white when it’s dirty and black when it’s clean? (blackboard)

5. What can fly without wings? (Balloon)

6. Some months have 31 days, some have 30 days but how many have 28 days? (They all have)

6 тур. A tongue-twister.

T: The following task is for the rest. I invite 1 pupil from each team. You should read the tongue-twister as quickly as you can 3 times.

1. She sells seashells by the seashore.

2. If a dog chews shoes, whose shoes does he choose?

7 тур. The right choice.

T: The 7th contest is called “The right choice”. Each team should answer my questions. You’ll get the cards with the letters a, b, c. Choose the right answer and show us the card. Each team can get 1 point for the right answer.
