Контрольная работа по английскому языку для 10 класса

I. Read the text , open the brackets and use the verbs in an appropriate form to complete the sentences:

I (1-to see) little of Holmes lately. My marriage ( 2-to separate) us from each other. He was still interested in the study of crime and managed to clear up those mysteries, which (3-to be thought) as hopeless by the police. One night- it was on the 20th of March, 1888- I (4-to come) home from work ( because I (5-to return) now to civil practice ), and I (6-to walk) through Baker Street.

  5. St. Paul’s Cathedral was designed by Sir Christopher Wren. There has always been a church on the site of the Cathedral. Many famous people were buried there.
