A The University is headed by the Chancellor who has honorary and ceremonial duties. The Vice-Chancellor is the “prime minister” of the university and is elected by the heads of colleges to serve a four-year term.

B Nowhere in Oxford is one far from a college. There are libraries, departmental buildings and halls. The University of Oxford has an architectural heritage without rival in Britain.
