Worksheet with exercises (see below)
Procedure:
I. Warm-up (5 minutes)
Teacher greets students and reviews previously learned vocabulary related to nature. Ask simple questions like: “What’s your favorite animal?” or “What kind of trees grow near your house?”
II. Introduction of New Vocabulary (10 minutes)
Introduce the new vocabulary using flashcards, pictures, or a short video. Explain the meaning of each word clearly and simply.
Drill pronunciation. Have students repeat each word chorally and individually.
III. Discussion (15 minutes)
Show pictures or videos depicting environmental problems (pollution, deforestation, endangered animals).
Ask students to discuss the problems they see and their possible causes. Encourage the use of the new vocabulary.
Lead a discussion about solutions to these problems, again encouraging the use of the new vocabulary (recycling, reducing consumption, reusing items, protecting endangered species).
IV. Activity: Worksheet (10 minutes)
Worksheet Exercises:
Matching: Match the words with their definitions.
Sentence completion: Complete the sentences with the words from the box.
Short Answer: Answer the questions in short sentences using vocabulary from the lesson. (Example: What can we do to help endangered animals? What is pollution? How can we reduce our impact on the environment?)
V. Wrap-up (5 minutes)
Review the key vocabulary.
Briefly summarize the main points of the lesson.
Assign homework: Students can write a short paragraph about one environmental problem and one solution.
Assessment:
Participation in discussions
Completion of worksheet exercises
Quality of homework
Differentiation:
For lower-level students, provide simpler sentences and more visual aids.
For higher-level students, encourage more detailed answers and discussions.
