Dream until your dreams
come true! - Dream until
Until your dreams come true.
Steven tyler
People dream of flying from ancient times. Many people associate flight with intoxicating freedom, unbridled happiness, the ability to achieve the unattainable, to realize their plans and dreams. I think that it was these feelings that the heroes of some literary works experienced, asking why people do not fly like birds.
Can I fly? I think yes! For me, the feeling of flying is very significant and comes every time when I experience professional success. Of course, such moments are not every day. But they inspire and give strength to go on, to strive for further development and improvement.
I was lucky in life: I am a teacher. And I have a chance to take off every day. After all, the way to “get wings” is very simple: a good lesson, an interesting project, the victory of students in the Olympiad, high scores on the exam. And these words inspire me: “Hurray, tomorrow is English again!”, Or: “Today was the best lesson!”.
Have I dreamed of becoming a teacher? Not! Did you play school as a child? Not! My mother is a teacher of Russian language and literature. And since my childhood I knew that a teacher did not belong to his family, and his whole life was notebooks, plans, meetings, and pedagogical councils. But I adored English, foreign languages in general. Even in kindergarten, I tried to learn Armenian by the primer of the neighbor Armenian girl. And after the first English lessons in the 5th grade, I asked the teacher to study French with me. Foreign words sounded like music to me, and I diligently listened to records with songs and English lessons and dreamed of becoming a translator.
That's just to fulfill your dream was not easy. When I entered the faculty of foreign languages, it turned out that the village school where I studied was not able to provide me with all the necessary knowledge of vocabulary and grammar, listening skills and retelling of newspaper articles. It simply did not have a language laboratory, not to mention the presence of newspapers and books in English. I, one of the best students of the school, failed the entrance exam, but did not give up the dream. During the year, I was preparing myself: self-instruction books, records, pieces of paper with English words in all rooms. In the morning I am a primary school teacher and I teach children to read and write, and in the evening I study the words of the verb and read books in English.
And here the first step to my dream is overcome: the entrance exam is passed, and I am a student of the Shadrinsk State Pedagogical Institute. Now I have all the possibilities: a modern library, daily classes in a language lab class and a Teacher with a capital letter — the beloved and incomparable “MCI” by everyone - Maria Pavlovna Shadrina, who spoke only English to students and liked to ask tricky questions, meeting us in some store or on the street. She was feared and respected, dreamed of becoming the same “Englishwoman” as she.
2004 has come. And now I am an “Englishwoman,” my first lesson in a regular secondary school took place. It is simply impossible to forget him, because instead of the usual fifteen, more than twenty students attended the lesson, since all the boys of not only English, but also German groups came to look at the new teacher. And until the end of the lesson they diligently pretended that they were also working on tasks. Then work in the gymnasium in the classroom with in-depth study of the English language. And so spun, spun ...
“And what about the dream?” - you ask. Well, of course, come true! After all, an English teacher is both a translator, a tour guide, a poet, and a singer. In English class everything is possible! This is not a job, but a dream. Each lesson is an opportunity to realize oneself, translate new ideas, try new technologies and techniques, translate projects and see the results of their students. Weekdays and holidays, games and contests, co-creation and search, small and big victories and achievements.
“I am a teacher,” and I live with it, proud of it, and happy about it. I am waiting for every new day, every lesson, every new student. I am learning and learning! And in my work I try to be guided by the principles developed by me over the years.
Principle One: “Love the student in your subject. Make him one of his favorites. ” For, according to Goethe, you can only learn what you love. And "there is no faster way to master knowledge than sincere love for a wise teacher." And the main thing is to find the right words, non-standard techniques and methods, to cause trust and interest. Choose an interesting lesson form, create a situation of success for everyone. To captivate, ignite research work, creative tasks, history, traditions and culture of the UK. To ensure that the child feels satisfied with the achieved success, of everything that has been done, said, read and strives for further knowledge. After all, "a student who learns without desire is a bird without wings."
Of course, learning a foreign language is a hard everyday job. Therefore, it is necessary to find a motive, to convince of the need to listen
