Тема: «My day off»

Цель урока: развитие коммуникативной компетенции учащихся на основе изученных лексических единиц, речевых и грамматических структур по теме «Выходной день» в условиях неязыкового пространства.
Задачи урока:
Познавательный аспект:
знакомство с популярными способами проведения досуга в России и англоговорящих странах;
Развивающий аспект:
формирование и развитие речевых способностей, психологических функций, связанных с речевой деятельностью (память, мышление, способность логически мыслить, умение анализировать).
Воспитательный аспект:
акцентирование внимания учащихся на положительных способах проведения досуга;
создание ситуаций успеха и самореализации личности в различных видах деятельности.
Учебный аспект:
введение нового лексического материала (to be fond of smth, enjoy, like, hate + infinitive/-ing) и отработка его употребления в речи;
введение новых единиц (пословиц)+поиск эквивалентов в русском языке;
формирование лексических навыков говорения по теме «Выходной день»;
совершенствование навыков чтения и говорения с различной стратегией.
Личностно-ориентированный аспект:
развитие умения сопоставлять факты, развивать исследовательские и творческие навыки; создание условий для развития навыков общения и совместной деятельности.
Тип урока: комбинированный, посвященный развитию репродуктивных речевых навыков и занимает промежуточное место в изучении тем «Мой рабочий день» и «Мое хобби», связывая этап формирования (рецептивный) и этап активизации (репродуктивный) речевых навыков.
Формы и виды работы: индивидуальная, фронтальная, групповая.
Оборудование урока:
Фотоматериал по теме (фото студентов); карточки с новой лексикой, карточки по теме, карточки с заданиями, текст, словари, тетрадь.
Ход урока.
1.Организационный этап.
Good morning, students! I am very glad to see you! Sit down, please.
How are you? What date is it today? What day of the week is it today?
Who is absent today and why?
2. Постановка цели и задач урока. Мотивация учебной деятельности учащихся.
And now open your copy-books and write down the date. At the last lesson we spoken about your working day, your activities during working day, and so. Today we are going to speak about your day off and your habits. I asked you to bring me your photos how you spend your day off. But at the beginning I ll ask you some questions.
3. Актуализация знаний.
When do you get up on Saturday / Sunday?
How do you usually spend your day off?
Do you prefer to go in for sport on your weekends?
Do you often meet your friends?
4. Первичное усвоение новых знаний.
Look at the blackboard. There are some new words and word combinations . They ll help you to describe your day off. But first of all let us recollect the words of our last lesson. Translate into Russian: listening to music, reading books, watching TV, playing computer games.
New words and word combinations. Read them and translate:

taking photographs
Let us see… (смотрим фотографии студентов, проводящих свое свободное время: спорт, чтение, музыка, время с друзьями, интернет и т.д. Студенты с помощью новых слов рассказывают об изображении на фото).

Let’s revise the names of activities and play the game «Guess the activity». I describe it for you and you name it.
1. Some people are crazy about it: they like to play football or volleyball, they discuss matches (sports)
2. Some people like to visit different historical places, some visit other countries. They travel by car, by train or by bus (travelling)
3. Some people are fond of doing it. They have many rare stamps and coins (collecting)

My day off
My name is Andrew, I am fourteen years old. I would like to tell you about my day off.
Sunday is my favorite day of the week, because it is not necessary to get up early and go to school.
On Sunday I get up later than usually, make my bed, go to the bathroom, wash my face and clean my teeth. Then we have breakfast all together. On Sunday my mother usually bakes pancakes, they are very delicious. We drink tea or coffee and eat pancakes with jam. After breakfast I help my mother to clear the table and wash the dishes.
Then I go outside to play with my friends. In winter we go skiing. In summer my father and I go to the swimming pool, especially when it is very hot.
At one o’clock we have dinner.
After dinner we have a short rest. My father goes to his study and reads newspapers. My mother watches TV, my younger sister sleeps. I usually go to my room, read a book, listen to music or do my homework for the next week.
In the evening we go to the park all together. It’s very big and beautiful. There are a lot of different park amusements there. My sister and I like to go on the rides very much or just go for a walk with our parents. Our mother and father often buy us candy floss or popcorn. Then we go to a café and order the biggest pizza. We eat, talk and laugh.
We come home at ten o’clock in the evening, satisfied, tired and very happy that we have had such a wonderful day off.
